Westhampton Pastry Shop (or as my family always called it, “Westhampton Bakery”) has been the bakery to which my parents took us.
My favorite has always been the butter cookies, but the cheese danishes, Gingerbread Men, cakes, bread, and honestly, everything is delicious!
I just returned from there with a big smile on my face the friendly staff and our chats.
Now, do dive into to one of the delicious things I bought. But, which first?
I have always enjoyed Westhampton Bakery. . . . my favorite being Chocolate Glazed Glazed Donuts. . . . well today I tried something different. . . I love Chocolate Eclairs. . but these were a bit of a disappointment. . . the pastry cream seemed to be from a can. . . The first time they disappointed. . . .not a bad track record for being a patron for thirty years.
The new owners’ version of Caramel Cake is a disgrace!
Complete disaster. Look on my FB page to see the disaster of their version of a caramel cake!!!!
I will always miss the old owners perfect caramel layer cake.
