Definitely a splurge, but the quality is outstanding. I shop here mainly for lunch or for a meal to go, since I'm not a chef. Foodies will find a real home here. Please bring back the grilled tuna sandwiches for lunch. They were the best!

First time customer, visited the new Libbie Mill location. Wonderful, engaging staff. Delicious food options. We will definitely be regulars! Convenient, fairly priced, and made with whole ingredients - not chemicals I can't pronounce. I sampled the crab cake sliders (can't wait until they hit the shelves!), and among my purchases was the absolute best pimento cheese in the universe. Seriously. It's soooo good! I definitely recommend this establishment. Even if you don't live in Libbie Mill. ☺️

Bought two pieces of rockfish for Christmas. One was fresh, one most decidedly not. At $28/lb, that is definitely not OK.
I had the best experience picking up oysters for an event yesterday. Dave took the time to show me some shucking skills that were very useful! I highly recommend Yellow Umbrella!

Today I went to Yellow Umbrella and it again did not disappoint. I got the lobster roll which was so fresh and delicious... the buttered roll was yummy as well. The thing is they give you so much lobster meat! The gentleman behind the counter was super pleasant and had the kindness disposition. I enjoyed the food as well as the person making it. If you love lobster thats fresh and falling out the roll with lobster meat please try some at yellow umbrella.

I have loved seeing their growth and transformations over the years and appreciate how they always improve upon an already fantastic job without sacrificing fan favorites.They carry a wide array of seafood, red meats, poultry, produce, prepared foods, cheeses, and bakery items as well as interesting local, regional, and foreign snacks. They always especially have a huge variety of prepared meals for seafood lovers.Their lunch counter is something you don't want to skip. I remember when they only served lunch three days per week and would sell out of popular specials (e.g., the lobster rolls). Nowadays, the lunch counter is open almost all week.Their store is always bright, clean, and inviting. It's quite small and intimate yet they carry such a wide range of items.

Yellow Umbrella is my go to place for prepared meals and seafood. Fabulous homemade food (lasagna, chicken pot pies, quiches, salads such as chicken, bean...).They carry items that are hard to find in Richmond: Key West shrimp, Maine lobster, fresh fish, crab meat. Helpful staff.
