Great atmosphere!

The new farm-to-table menu is fantastic! I ordered the lamb and my husband ordered the steak. Both were cooked to perfection. The sides complemented the meats wonderfully. The portions were perfect. High recommendation!

We had a very positive experience at the Pine Room. Our server, Mark took good care of us. I really enjoyed the Reuben. The pastrami was tender as it should be. I've been disappointed many times ordering a Reuben, but not last night! Love the atmosphere. Thank you!

Something has changed. We live in Roanoke and frequently dined in the Pine Room (at least once per month for years) and the food was flavorful. The last 2 visits (within the last 2 months) have been very disappointing. Deviled eggs (used to serve 6, now 4) used to have a pickled onion topping with a sauce for great flavor, now they have no topping and are bland. The cauliflower appetizer used to have a spicy kick to it, now it is sweet. For a period of time, they offered a different dinner menu with fresh/great fish- now it is the same daily menu. Lastly, both our dinners (grilled chicken and pimento cheese hamburger) had way too much sodium. Definitely declined. We will not be back.

I have been here a number of times and the food is always good but last night we asked if we could have the bread pudding from the Regency Room for dessert. They did bring us bread pudding but it was literally only two bites. I know their desserts aren't a volume of food but that was very disappointing.

We had the Ribeye Steak and the Pork Shank, both were delicious! Jacqueline was our server, and she was great! I forgot my phone, left it on the table, and when I realized it after we got home, we called the restaurant and Jacqueline made sure it was taken to the front desk so we could pick it up after hours. Thank you so much! I hope you see this message, and Happy New Year. We will definitely be back!

Me and my husband went here for Christmas Eve dinner, the atmosphere is nice the hotel lobby is beautiful. The server gentleman was really friendly but the food runner was not polite at all she seemed annoyed. My husband had the falafel vegetable bowl, the portion was small and it was extremely salty almost uneatable. I had the chicken sandwich, it was unfortunately over cooked and chewy and the portion of the patty was really small. We were a bit underwhelmed by the experience. Maybe next time will make reservations for the other restaurant for such an occasion.

We had a lovely and scrumptious meal here on Christmas. We were seated promptly for our reservation and felt comfortable to dine and drink at our leisure. Crispy cauliflower app and shellfish risotto were fantastic!

We went to the Pine Room for dinner expecting it to be more upscale than it is. Very casual. There were a couple noisy kids when we arrived. We ordered a bottle of red wine from Sicily which was delicious. My guest ordered the shrimp and scallops risotto. We were there at 6 but were told they wouldn't start making that dish until 6:20 even though the restaurant wasn't the least bit crowded. I asked for the smash burger. When asked how I like it I requested medium rare. The risotto arrived around 6:40. My guest said it was really tasty. My burger had not been smashed yet was fully done and dry in the middle. Service on the slow side.

The food was amazing, and our waitress was great and kind, however our kids had to ask for refills instead of noticing they needed them, and we ordered a salad and never received it, and I'm not sure if we were charged for it or not because we were trying to hurry up and pay so they could turn over our table and we forgot about the salad. Kids meals came out great and timely but our apps and meals and dessert were a little slow and not together, two apps came out together but the other took longer to come out. That is why we forgot about the salad we ordered and obviously our waitress did too.

Drinks were good...fried cauliflower and market board were great!! Flatbread pizza was less than stellar, as was the caesar salad ....fried chicken sandwich was great!! Quick, friendly, great service...excellent atmosphere!!!

Outstanding food. We were in town for a conference. The food is so good I ate there twice. Staff is very friendly. I travel a lot and this is a restaurant that I would recommend to anyone.

Food was unremarkable. We expected more special tastes. Waiter did get the main dining room to provide a bowl of peanut soup even though they were technically closed. Soup was ok but not great and that was the main reason we chose the Hotel Roanoke for dinner.

Had a great first time experience at dinner in the Pine Room. Many food choices and our order was quick and our food choice of smash burger with fries & Ruben with fries was excellent, and cooked as ordered. Our server Ronnie Goff gave fast service and very attentive. Our dinner was just as we ordered and never had to wait for water or drink refills. Excellent Service!! The atmosphere was relaxing and very comfortable.

The cocktails, appetizers, and the deserts were very good. However, we did not enjoy the two bone in ribeye steaks. They came out covered in a spicy gravy type sauce. The waitress offered to redo them. But both steaks were pretty tough and hard to cut. Would not recommend the steaks, but all else was good.
