The food was amazing and authentic. The hospitality made us feel like we were guests in someone's home. As someone who travels to South Asia frequently, I appreciated the atmosphere of the restaurant dining area. It was more like an Asian restaurant than American. And that added to the authenticity.

Bethlehem is wonderful!! I have now enjoyed multiple fabulous meals here. There are lots of delicious vegan and dairy-free options (or easy possible modifications), which can be hard to find in Roanoke, and much more on the menu that is vegetarian friendly, plus delicious looking meat-based dishes. The people are always very welcoming and kind, and the food is so very tasty. Portions are hearty and prices are very reasonable, too, especially considering the high quality. I also enjoy perusing the grocery section while food is being prepared and have found lots of items I haven't seen elsewhere in Roanoke. Particularly good selection of spices, dried fruits, nuts, preserves, teas, and more. The good people at Bethlehem consistently serve exceptional food with care! Thank you!

Kabuli pulao tasted great, portion size was generous and staff was super friendly. Keep up the good work !

Edit: Edit: I visited this place again exactly after a year and was glad to find the same taste and quality I experienced last time. I actually took a detour at Roanoke while driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway towards Shenandoah, only because I was craving some good food and knew this place wouldn’t disappoint. Such hardworking and friendly management! Three cheers!!

I was here in Roanoke for a few days, and decided to go for a walk and found this place.
Food and Service was Excellent.
I drive over the road and as a Truck Driver I Appreciate The Good Service and Food.

Their food is super delicious. The kabobs are juicy and not dry. The beef Chapli kabobs were so delicious! It’s a small restaurant inside a grocery store but the food is amazing!

Absolutely amazing experience at Bethlehem Restaurant! The food was delicious, authentic, and full of flavor. Our server, Sohrab, was hands-down the best—friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome from start to finish.

The owner, Qodrat, is a great guy with true hospitality. You can really tell he cares about his guests. On top of that, the prices are some of the best in town for the quality you get.

Highly recommend this place if you’re in Roanoke and want great food, great service, and a warm atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back

We visited this Afghan store today and had a great experience. The prices were excellent and very reasonable, and there was a good variety of products. We also ate at their restaurant, and the food was delicious, fresh, and very authentic.
The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, especially Mr. Qudrat and Mr. Sohrab. They were very helpful, respectful, and truly customer-oriented.
Highly recommended
we will definitely be coming back!
