Bubblecake was such a cute little shop we loved our visit! We went in just planning to grab a cupcake or two, but they were running a promo, so we ended up getting six... and I’m so glad we did! Every flavor we tried was delicious and had its own unique charm.
My husband picked the Old School (classic vanilla cupcake with chocolate icing), and he really enjoyed how simple and nostalgic it was. My daughter chose the Birthday Cake flavor, and her favorite part was definitely the icing she raved about it. My son had the Strawberry and ate the entire thing quietly, which for him means it was a big hit. My other daughter picked Double Chocolate and absolutely loved it it was rich and decadent.
I got the Tiffany cupcake, and wow the subtle almond flavor in the icing was amazing. It was elegant, not overpowering, and really stood out as my favorite.
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the inside of the shop was just as sweet as the cupcakes cute, cozy, and welcoming. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area and have a sweet tooth!

I’m really pleased with my experience at Bubblecake. I ordered the red velvet cupcake and it was delicious and perfectly frosted. The service was just as impressive. Everything was quick, clean and easy, from placing the order to picking it up. The staff was friendly and welcoming and my order was ready in no time. It’s clear they care about both their treats and their customers. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m craving something sweet!

I used to work here. It was awful. I went to the hospital twice while I had employment there due to the stress that workplace caused me. I was freshly 17 and a student at the college down the street. The owner of that place took advantage of that and treated me like I was supposed to be an adult with experience. Any minor convenience I had she would get frustrated by my “child like behavior”. I had a preferred name that I would encourage everyone to call me and she blatantly ignored it because my biological name was “so beautiful”. It was rude and I was uncomfortable everytime she was in the same room as me. The amount of unprofessionalism that woman embodied was lethal. She fired me because I told a coworker of mine that I was probably gonna quit to work on school once I finished my payments towards my dog. Apparently the manager, Lisa, didn’t like that. She termed me through iMessage without giving me a notice. Saying that I was “drama filled” and “less reliable every week”. It was frustrating because I was a full time student and worker. I never missed a day. I left early twice due to those hospital trips. I find it funny and ironic that she fired me over such things but her and everyone else who works there is working for the same reason. To pay bills. The hypocrisy is astonishing. She treated me differently than the other teenagers who worked there simply because I graduated early. The other teens got the soft “kids will be kids” and “they’re growing up” treatment while I got the harsh “you’re an adult, suck it up” treatment. Lisa, I hate you with a burning passion, but your lack of proper management gave me the strength to push myself.
The cupcakes are terrible. They top it with so much stuff that you might as well just be eating icing with toppings. Although you might think I’m biased, this is my honest review. The cookies are stale and flavorless. It instantly kills a crave for sweet treats. It’s way overpriced for it to be that bad. You might as well be throwing your money away.
The advertisement isn’t all that truthful either, but that’s all I’m gonna say on that.

Picked up cupcakes on Saturday and stored them in refrigerator as I was told and ate them Sunday around lunch time but they were dry, thank goodness the icing was good or they would've been thrown away and not even eaten

I tried this place when visiting Roanoke. I now live here and am still dreaming about their chocolate cupcake I had. I can’t wait to go back and try more!
A pharmaceutical representative brought these to our medical office today. The cupcakes were decorated beautifully. The appearance had all the staff running to get one. However, after tasting them we were no longer excited about our experience. Some cupcakes were dry, some too sweet, and way too much icing. We have some patients that are excellent bakers so maybe the competition was too fierce for these cupcakes.

I would like to give the positive aspects about the visit first. Cupcakes were beautiful and always taste good. I asked the young lady if I may purchase eight cupcakes politely. She stated, “We have a six or twelve box.” For clarity, were you stating you only sold half a dozen or dozen, and I couldn’t purchase eight? By this time, she had loss the sale for me to buy a dozen of your product. If you were trying to state, I would be responsible for “purchasing” a twelve box with only eight cupcakes, this should had been communicated.I didn’t mind spending the extra for a twelve count box. But the tone was short and giving vibes that you had to either buy 6 or 12. It was the lack of communication and I sensed she was trying to hurry up. FYI, I was the only customer. They were not busy. I was nice by giving a 3 on service.

My mother ordered cupcakes to be delivered on her birthday but the delivery service failed to deliver them. She called Bubblecake to get more information about the person who picked up the order, and the manager was so kind, she hand delivered the order personally. This kind of customer service is so rare these days. I highly recommend this bakery for delicious treats and great care for their customers.
