The BEST cuban sandwich around! The BBQ is flavorful, well prepared and they aren't shy with the portions. Nicest people around!
Weird old boy vibe in the shop as well as no gluten free buns. Didn’t know what gluten free was. For one pound of meat with no sauce, they put 2 tiny samples of barbecue sauce. Mama Jeans Barbeque has an honor system of unlimited sauces. The meat was nice, but no flavor so it needed sauce. We needed up throwing it out bc it wasn’t good without sauce.

There are many options for good BBQ dining in and around Roanoke. That being said, if you want the absolute BEST with no nonsense and no unnecessary frills, you must come here. The excellent quality of the meat is beyond belief --- so tender, juicy and delicious. You can easily see how much love and care is put into the menu offerings by the owner and everyone who works there. Oh, and if you have some room left over after your main meal, do not fail to try a slice of scrumptious cake (the owner/proprietor explained to us that each is baked fresh daily). Highly recommended for dining in or takeout.
Parking: The historic building features several eclectic businesses such as yoga studios. etc., so parking spaces come and go, depending on client patronage of those businesses.
