I’ve eaten at the Lynchburg restaurant and enjoyed the boil bag. Well worth the price. I’ve also enjoyed the boil bag concepts in the Hampton Roads area at different restaraunt.

The restaurant hasn't been built yet

Ate there this past week. While the prices were reasonable for Lynchburg, the loud rap music did not present a enjoyable dining atmosphere. Also, not sure why but our entree came out before our appetizer.

I gave this restaurant three tries and they failed me every time. The first visit was with my wife and father. No one like anything they got. We are big seafood fans. We can eat any and all seafood types for days on end. But this place struck out. The second time I came alone for lunch. Place always seems empty no matter when we come. I ordered an oyster PoBoy sandwich. I received a fish poboy. The dozen oysters were small and unremarkable except they were pricey. This was my best experience but the waitress was hard to find. The third visit was with my wife and father again. They were not thrilled to be going back but they know how much I love seafood so they humored me. My oyster poboy came and it still had no whole oysters on it. Just tiny oyster "parts" with tons of crunchy batter to hide the scam. My wife's fried shrimp were over battered and chewy. Dad's crab legs were slimy and garlic drenched. Not fresh. Not easy to get meat out. No plyers or crab crackers provided. Oh and my seafoodless gumbo was a scam too. Ordered a side of hush puppies that never came. But I was charged for it. Let me think of something nice to say. The waitress was kind. We won't be back.

The food is really good. The servers all seemed new or d**** Someone was getting yelled at over the wallow talkies which was annoying.

I will never patronize crabdujour_lynb again! I've had a terrible experience this evening while celebrating my friends birthday. We had to send our crab legs back to the kitchen TWICE because they had NO taste, and were mushy. After the second bad batch, we asked for shrimp as a substitute (they were good), as we didn't want to risk another bad batch of crab legs. Our waitress AND the manager told us that the owner refused to give us anything else unless we wanted to pay for it! The owner/cook also accused us of eating the legs and trying to get free food! We had returned the uneaten crab legs to the kitchen. The waitress could clearly see that they were not touched (besides the initial taste of the soggy, tasteless mush). I must say that the waitress was kind & helpful. She felt bad about the whole thing. The manager was even kind, apologetic and professional, but the owner refused to come to our table to speak with us. The entire experience was so awkward & uncomfortable that the waitress was in tears at our table because there was nothing she could do and the manager just kept apologizing, but saying there was nothing she could do. Never Again! Buyer Beware!

My first impression was walking in the door and seeing 3 staff members and no one acknowledged us. After 5 minutes someone finally greeted us and took us to a table. Server knew nothing about the menu and when we asked about drinks was told to read the sign. We ordered crab fries and it was a joke for $7.99. It was a small bit of crab meat thrown on top of a basket of fries. We ordered this as an appetizer and they came with our meal after asking twice for them. Oyster basket and shrimp and fish basket was good with good portion sizes. Service was friendly when they actually came to our table. Our check was brought to our table and no one returned to get it for 15 minutes and took another 10 to bring us back our cards. Lots of staff walking around with mask on but not being worn properly and lots of staff just hanging out. Not sure this is somewhere I would recommend to others. Food overall wasn't bad but everything else made it not a great experience.

Had big expectations. Very disappointed. App came with main. 2nd main came later. 4 shrimp on poorboy, and gumbo was tasteless. Maybe they can fix this. Too expensive for lunch to try again.

I was hesitant to come because of the reviews but this place is fantastic. I've had several things and everything has been wonderful. I really like the poor boys, the rolls are soft and fresh.

We had the combo, with a pound of shrimp, 2 half ears of corn, and 4 small potatoes. They are peel and eat, and swimming in butter, so messy, but good, we enjoyed it. The reason for the two-star review: I ordered steamed oysters, on the half shell. The waitress recommended a very spicy version. They were truly awful. They were very small and rubbery, and the sauce was horrible, with a really bad mealy-like texture. I LOVE oysters, but these were truly the worst I have ever had. To make matters worse, the waitress stopped coming around, and I never had a chance to tell her how bad they were. When she finally came and brought the check, I told her that they were really bad, I didn't even eat them all, and she didn't say a word, no "I'm sorry you didn't like them", no "I'll speak to the manager", nothing. She didn't say a word, just came back with the receipt to sign, dropped if off without saying a single word, and disappeared. I thought maybe she had them taken off the bill, but no. She pretty much ruined what could have been a good experience. I really thought about asking for the manager myself, but I shouldn't have had to do that. I'll probably just vote with my feet, and let them take me somewhere else.

A hidden Gem in Lynchburg Va , great food friendly staff .....the seafood is amazingly fresh and the portions are generous. Well worth the visit!

Excellent! The atmosphere is great, decor feels like your at the beach. The servers were great and the food was fabulous! We had fresh boiled lobster, shrimp, and crawfish with potatoes and corn!

I tried Crab du jour when they first opened and was pleased with my Crab Salad but the calamari and the hush puppies were over cooked. Decided to give it another try today with two friends. Service was just okay. My Crab Salad was fair, not as described by the server and not the same as it was 6 months ago. In addition, they are serving a salad with plastic silverware which did not make eating the salad very easy. One of my friends got the chicken fingers and fries and reported they were both good. My other friend got the fried shrimp with fries. She said the fries were good but that her shrimp was overcooked and rubbery. Our server took our water glasses away before she cleared our plates. We were not even finished with our meals when she took away our drinks. Based on this experience I will not be giving this restaurant a third try!

1 Lb. King Crab Leg Seafood BagsThe food saturated in oil/butter could not even taste the seafood. The complementary hush puppies we were offered as we were seated were actually 3.99. Over all the value of what we received for the cost was minimal.

Nice spot for seafood. The staff was sociable and attentive. This place has great reviews for a reason.
