Not terrible but not great. The yellow rice and beans weren’t too bad.. disappointed that they literally gave us frozen fish sticks. Super greasy
Would try again though and get something different!

This place is owned and operated by a very friendly family. They make a range of excellent food on short order. I've had a range of items from sweet plantains, to a steak sandwich, and my recommendation alcapurrias. Very yummy. Stop in and try them.

The food is amazing, great prices and she was so sweet about answering questions. She even put a candle in my flan when my friend commented it was my birthday! I cannot wait to make this a regular lunch spot!

This place elevates cooking pork to an art form! Amazingly delicious food. The beans were incredible too. What a great find. Definitely some of the best food in the city hidden in this old cafeteria!

The food is INCREDIBLE!!! I got the lunch special with fried chicken, beans, rice and yucca fries and it was perfection! The fried chicken was crispy and the best seasoned chicken I’ve ever had. The yucca fries blew my mind, they were so good!! Best lunch spot in Roanoke!!

Wow! The food, amazing! The service, even better! Came across this piece of heaven after craving authentic Puertorrican food. Tried 2 proteins and 2 sides and all were excellent. To complement the meal with Coco Rico and Old Colony Uva was perfection.

Additionally, I was able to bring home a dozen of frozen alcapurrias and a dozen of frozen pasteles de masa y pollo. They were all delicious!

¡Gracias! Will be back soon!

I took my grandmother here when she was in town. The food was not only delicious, the gentleman that took care of my grandmother’s order was very pleasant and kind to us. 10/10 coming back here again!

Was in Virginia and me and the family wanted some good Spanish food. And this place hit the spot. The staff here are very polite and friendly. The food is amazing. It hit the spot. We where in Va for 4 days and by far this was the best food we had. Would definitely recommend this place. Enjoy everyone, you won't go wrong if you want some Spanish food. 10 out of 10.

Oh my oh my, I don't know where to start. My family is Cuban, but we also have quite a bit of Puerto Rican relatives through marriage. I've had Puerto Rican food a good portion of my life and I enjoy cooking it as well.

Today I gave this place a try, I really wanted to like it and looked forward to my meal.

After 45 minutes of waiting I received my order. Mofongo and a rellenas de papa.

The rellenas de papa, was way too crispy on the outside with a super greasy mashed potato to where it was almost translucent. The ground beef was 100% flavorless. I couldn't even finish it.

The mofongo, I took it with roast pork. The mofongo itself was so bland I took a COVID test to make sure I wasn't sick. It's like they're allergic to salt and it didn't even have any garlic!

The roast pork was bland as well and came with a salad that is an insult to salads.

The only saving grace of the meal is their garlic sauce.

When we came up I believe the owners were stepping out and left two young men in charge. The speed they work is so slow that I was impressed any food got out. They handed us the rellena de papa in a container filled with grease, drain it before you put it in a container or put something on the bottom to absorb it.

I might give this place a try when the owners are there, but if these young guys are there when I decide to hit them up again I will turn around and walk out.

Puerto Rican cuisine is supposed to be cooked with 2 things, love and seasoning. This food lacked both.

The Chef is so much fun, he handmade some new sauces and let me say..... Perfecto.

Cuban food made right, hot and with a smile.

The deep fried pork was tender and well seasoned. Yucca had a perfect crisp.
