I had the full rack ribs and smoke potato .. ribs r so juicy and tender .. and OMG the smoke potato is a bomb .. I love it worth every penny I spent ..
I had ribs, Mac n cheese, sweet potato casserole, banana pudding, and hush puppies delivered. Everything ordered came out perfect and the meat from my ribs were falling off the bone. Definitely recommend!
Good bbq! Both the brisket & pulled hog was delicious! Mac & cheese was good...and the nanner puddin was the cherry on top!
It was absolutely disgusting. Don't go here if you expect a nice sit-down experience. You have to walk to the counter to order your food, and you must bus your own plates afterwards. My brisket didn't even taste like brisket. If i knew how to get rid of the charge on my card, I'd definitely do it.
If this was our first time here, it would have been a 1. It’s gotten progressively worse over the last 6 months. After today’s visit, we won’t be back. The sides and appetizer were inedible. The pickle spears are $9.99 and they were long slivers of what appeared to be a pickle. The other half of were just breading, not to mention they were so greasy and oily it left a puddle in the basket. The smoked potatoes were unrecognizable. We were astounded they actually served it and didn’t throw it away. The smoked sweet potatoes were terrible also. All the food had to be days old. It was bad. It would have been better watching the $56.00 we spent catch on fire.
This is close to me so I figured I would surprise my wife with lunch. Outrageous price for bbq sandwich and 3 sides. But what really got me was when she pulled the sides out and they're in the tiniest portion styrofoam containers I've ever seen (see pic). This looks like something from a happy meal. Mac n cheese, potato, and baked beans are three of the absolute cheapest sides to make. Even with the small sandwich, this meal has about $1 of actual product. They have a tip jar at the register. For what? Don't inside dining customers tip the wait staff? Why imply tips should be for takeout? Seems to be a common theme, these greedy business owners think the public should pay their staff. Greed is oozing from this place. I'd have to be hard up to spend $17 here for a happy meal again. No thanks.
My husband and I were on our way to Tennessee, we stopped by to get take out. We ate in our car because we had our dog with us. My husband went in to get our brisket and they gave us a bone for our dog! How nice was that!!! Rocky was happy! And the food was amazing! We had a fun and great experience!
It was so good my kids ordered take out to have more later!!! Win for my family!!! We had the pulled pork sandwiches platters with slaw and fries. We also enjoyed the mac and cheese, fried apples, and banana pudding. They have Cherry Coke!!!
Due South BBQ in Roanoke for my birthday ?Road trips are great but what makes them even better?Making food detours to dig in on Noms ??After a weekend in the mountains I kept seeing signs for BBQ. After about the 3rd one we had to drop in?Pulled pork, brisket, half rack of ribs, baked beans and all the sauces … DE-LI-CI-OUS?
This Q is totally on point. Great smoke, nice bark, nice quantity and no globs. I had the beef and the pork, both pulled. These folks know what they’re doing. I’ll be going back. I need to try more sides. The potatoes were very good as were the fried pickles. Atmosphere is great, nobody is “putting on airs” here. If you want slick, with 50 TV’s on the wall have to yell over a bunch of millennial beer snobs, go somewhere else. This place is no-nonsense and puts out some damn good barbeque.

Great restaurant in a not so good location which is probably why they always look closed. The food was awesome and the waitress was very polite and friendly. We had fast service and it was delicious. The cooks also made sure we were satisfied. Will definitely order again Plus a great option for tailgate parties bc i feel confident all of your friends and mine will enjoy the different varieties of sauces they offer.
The people were friendly, the food was great. The fried okra and thw hush puppies were fried perfectly in clean oil. The brisket and pork were good. The coleslaw was crips and creamy with a nice flavor. The sweet tea had the perfect amount of sweetness. Did I mention the people were amazing. Oh, and they are decorated for Halloween.
I just remembered to leave a review. We stopped here on our way leaving from DC, we were traveling back home to Texas in April. This is some really delicious BBQ. The different sauces are so good, we took some samples for the road and we had great service too. The young lady was new there maybe a week or so and she gave us some history of the place and who'd owned it. I sure wish to visit again soon but I'll be back again one day.
Kid-friendliness: For a kid size they surely do feed them a generous amount.
The full rack of ribs were very good. I have been craving them since I left. The meat falls right off the bone. Has plenty of sauce on them and the sauce it's actually kinda sweet like I like it. There are other choices of sauces on the table as well to help give you the taste your looking for
Could smell the smoke food when I entered the door. Could not taste the smoke when I ate the food.I had the half rack of ribs with a side ok smoke potatoes. The potatoes were good. The ribs was swimming in a sweat bbq sauce. I had to add other sauces as I ate the ribs, as there was. I smoke flavor. Rule 1, good bbq should not need sauce. The flavor of the meet should be there, this was not.
