The restaurant is tiny but so beautiful! The food was absolutely amazing. We got the pastor tacos, steak tacos, chips, salsa, and queso. Everything was delicious 12/10, would come here again. Very impressed.

Saw lots of good reviews so figured we would try this place. Unfortunately the chips were stale, and both meals were just drenched in grease, it was just a puddle.Now onto what we did appreciate, the food itself was ok, have had worse, the server was sweet and got to us in a timely manner, might just be a preference but overall it was just mediocre. I might would give it a second try.

Wow… so I took everyones advise and hype on social media and tried their tacos! My boyfriend tried their torta Cubana. My 4 year old had their half order of beef and cheese nachos! The food portion is huge! We also ordered chips and salsa! We made it out of there with $38We were extremely impressed with this place! I personally like how small and personal it was. Adriana was our server who is the owners wife! Great experience and 10/10 recommend. My belly hurts in the absolute best way. Try it, you won’t be disappointed!

Highly recommended!! Really good food with generous portions at very fair prices. We patronize a number of Mexican-American restaurants in Roanoke and this one is at the top of our list. The food is more authentic than the typical Americanized Mexican fare and they also have quite a few unique offerings.

My recent visit to El Cielito Lindo was marred by a disturbing issue with tipping on my credit card slip. Despite leaving a tip, the waiter added an unauthorized extra amount. I notified the restaurant twice online, providing details including the server's name listed on the receipt, but received no response. This unethical behavior is unacceptable and tarnishes the restaurant's reputation. I urge caution to others until this issue is addressed

Excellent service and food! I These days when eating out usually ends in either disappointing food or poor service this place stands out. I haven’t eaten authentic Mexican before but I’m sure this is about as close as you can get in the states. Delicious!

You have to pay for chips and they're stale. The food isn't even microwaved all the way through. This could be an amazing place. It's just not. The service is good. I hope it gets better! A 4.9 rating is outrageous.

We stopped by for dinner after my husband had surgery at Carilion. It was early, so we were the only customers at first. The hostess/waitperson/owner fixed us Huevos a la Mexicana and a big Colorado burrito filled with veggies. We also had guacamole. Hubby ordered lemonade --homemade while we waited. Everything was FANTASTIC!! I was particularly pleased with the guacamole--fresh and simple, not dressed up but instead seasoned to perfection. My huevos were excellent, as was the HUGE Colorado burrito. Roanoke Mexican food fans, put this on your list --it's at the top of mine!!
