Went for taco Tuesday and to be honest for the price you can't beat the good food. The beef is actually seasoned and flavorful unlike most Mexican restaurants in the area. Also the shredded chicken tacos are delicious and flavorful and definitely not dry either which is the most surprising. All in all for taco Tuesday this is one of the best places in Roanoke.

I was really impressed by El Rio's menu and prices! The dish I had , Cazuelon?, was awesome with steak, chicken, shrimp, rice, beans... all for under $14! Tons of food and cooked right.

I went on taco Tuesday. The taste of the food was good but they have reduced the amount of filling in the tacos (the used to be stuffed) and the went up on the price. Service was ok but not fantastic. I would go again if I am in the area but will not go out of my way.

I have celiac disease. I must be gluten-free. They kept me safe, and the food was great. The service was good. I'm excited to find some where to eat that seems to care about my safety.
My tacos had more sour cream than meat. I waited for 45 min and all i can taste is sour cream and tortillas feel not warmed….we will not me back

The staff was awesome took time with us and even had a interesting conversation. The food was just wonderful I'm sure the photos show that. I like my hot sauce hot and this was really spicy and flavorful!!
