visited on a Tuesday, didn’t see any specials or was told of any… went for Birria Tacos. they weren’t the best i’ve had in the area, the refried beans however were *chefs kiss*.. burrito portion was a bit larger than others imo.
certainly not a fan of the deep red sauce given with birria tacos, kinda use to the green sauce several other places give which wasn’t an issue— the sauce being extremely spicy to the point of a tongue burn was, a warning label as shared should be on it or a verbal warning if it’s provided without asking.

We stopped in before watching a movie at the local amc. Our food was delicious! And the portioning wasn’t overboard. Our waiter was very attentive. Would visit again.

For casual, affordable Mexican food in Roanoke, there is nowhere I would rather go than Los Arcos. Their prices are moderate, the food is good, the service is fast. It is a small building, and it is always busy. The staff really gets people in and out quickly, but without rushing. The food is always good and comes out quickly. Good portions. Decent menu. I think Los Arcos has more consistently higher quality food than El Rodeo. It is more affordable than Abuelos (no longer in Roanoke). I just really think Los Arcos has found their niche and is doing very well with it. The only downside is that it is so popular, it is hard to find parking in their small parking lot. It is worth the wait, though.
Parking: Small parking lot on intersection of two busy roads... always busy. There's nothing that could be done unless they expand. It isn't the restaurant's fault.

Restaurantji Recommends
Disappointing Experience - Overhyped and Overpriced
I recently visited this restaurant with high expectations, but unfortunately, it failed to deliver. The food quality was subpar, and the drinks were a major letdown.
Avoid the House Margarita: It's made with cheap tequila and loaded with sugar. Everyone in our group who ordered it ended up with a headache.
Birra Taco Disappointment: Despite asking our server if the meat was fresh and not dry, we received a deep-fried taco that tasted like leftover meat.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place for food. The hype surrounding it is unwarranted. Perhaps they need to revamp their menu and ingredient quality.

Standard Mexican restaurant and food. Fast service. Booths are tight, so grab a table if you are 2X or larger.

Kinda unimpressed by the food and the service. It was better under previous ownership. Hope they get the stuff figured out. We got there an hour before close and it seemed to be an inconvenience.
