Since Food Hut was taken under new ownership I’ve visited several times— it is fantastic. The menu changes to keep things fresh and exciting— with thoughtfully paired ingredients and flavors. With that, that still keeps a charm of simpleness that allows for your picky friends to enjoy as well.
I’m so excited to have this place in my neighborhood and look forward to many more visits.
Highly recommend Sunday brunch and ALWAYS get the fried mozzarella. Nothing beats it.

Maybe I hit it on a bad night but it didn’t work for me. Location and vibe was good but the sandwich and onion rings weren’t that great. Rings were kinda overcooked and chicken was crispy outside bit not hot at core.

$25 for a slightly above average burger, frozen crinkle cut fries, and tip- complete insanity. I thought the prices were already outrageous, but they raised them another 25% more or less by no longer including sides. The breweries in the immediate vicinity need good food options to keep people at the bar and drinking, but this isn't it. I'll just go home and cook.
Vegetarian options: One single option for vegetarians, none for vegans.

Great place to eat while spending time downtown…or close enough to drive to at 8:30 at night when you’re not downtown, like we’re getting ready to do. The food is unique, with the most savory, unique culinary choices of any place in the area. We split a sandwich (honey chicken), fries, and a caramel apple bread pudding (that’s what we’re heading downtown to get), and it was PLENTY for the two of us. The menu is not extensive, as the place is very small. But the choices they have need to be tried…every single one of them. Give them a visit! You will not be sorry!

The mushroom melt was delicious. I miss it a lot. Their onion rings are my boyfriend's favorite in the whole area of Roanoke. Can't wait to try their summer vegetarian option! I love that you can eat while you're chilling at Golden Cactus or you can get it to go. Love that area of town. Love the food here. Also the staff are so sweet and friendly.

Wow! Just wow! The delivery service was amazing and I checked YES! The food was amazing. Highly recommend! Goes great with beer from Blindhouse Brewing Co. too, two yummies!

4th time having food hut over the course of the last year. Food generally speaking has good flavor but is 100% of the time so hard to eat/messy that it's a turn off. Today's order they threw on the pickles and mayo my wife asked to be left off her sandwich. Order was delivered to blindhouse, so basically wife just went without dinner as I wasn't about to walk the order back down to golden cactus. Also there's never any "healthier" options for anyone not looking for glorified stoner food.

Ordered dinner to be delivered at Blind House. The food arrived fast and hot. Everything was SO well seasoned and delicious. We had the fish and chip sandwich, which was a giant piece of white fish and the most delicious toppings. It was creamy, savory, and tart, perfectly balanced. We also ordered the poutine, and it was just perfection. We will definitely be back!
