Our first visit today. What a great surprise! If you love Cajun, Creole, Caribbean food this is it. Great service, clean pleasant setting, extensive menu, authentic food. This is our best dining experience in a long time. we are already planning our next visit to Gianni's.

I dot know how to review...
We've been here; going on, 30 minutes, and still haven't received any more than water.. There is one other couple here. If you only have an hour for lunch, this ain't for us.. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Unfortunately, I have tried this restaurants 3 times to give them an opportunity to improve their food and the food is horrible. The food is very salty, uncooked marinade, oxtail sauce salty, fish is salty, the quality of food is bad. I know they can do better but refuse too, serving high sodium food causes high blood pressure and stroke.

This place is ahhhhhmazing! Everything I have tried has been a 10 out of 10! The flavor is out of this world!! It’s a hidden gem! I just hope they stay booked and busy! It’s never a wait time to sit when we dine in. The food is always fresh and flavorful! We love it!

I would eat that gumbo every day for the rest of my life and never complain. The fried catfish and crawfish fries were also outstanding. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu.

A child was left unattended as hostess and was completely incompetent. An adult came out long enough to help her understand what wasn't on the menu. The part of our order that was correct, was delicious. The rest which never made it from us to the kitchen... well, we'll never know. Very disappointed 😞

Summary: Comparable prices, okay atmosphere and service, small restaurant, gumbo is great! Detailed review below:

Visited here some time ago with a relative and overall it's not bad. There were three other tables in the restaurant when we arrived but it was quiet. Seating for a large group could be difficult, but my party of two was fine. Prices were in line with most Caribbean restaurants I've been to with each person in my group spending about $40 for 3 courses. Oxtail and gumbo were wonderful! I wish there was an option to get a reduced price smaller side portion as an appetizer because the bowl of gumbo is big on top of other food, but nevertheless, good.

Now, I wanted to try something authentic so I got the Taste of Caribe because of the Rikki Sandwich. When the sandwich arrived it contained seasoned ground beef, their slaw, and some type of sauce. If you do not like differing taste, do not choose this sandwich! Most of the coleslaw if not all is made with a vinegar type base and all of the ground beef we had (while we'll seasoned), was very salty. The seasoned ground beef, with the vinegar slaw, and a mayonnaise type sauce slathered inside was a lot of flavors at once when you take a bite that won't be pleasant for everyone. The empanada, much like the sandwich as well was not drained well so it was soggy and falling apart when I tried to pick it up. The plantains were good but personal preference, wish there was a sauce for it.

As for dessert, we got the Kokiyol (fried donuts) and the Blanc Mange which both were enjoyable. Only note about the Blanc Mange, if you're not aware as I wasn't, there are two types of this dessert. I thought this was the molded gelatin type, but this is the fruit cocktail in coconut milk version. It is sweet and tastes like melted cherry cordial ice cream but if expecting the other, this is not it.

I would give it another try but go for more general food choices so I enjoy more of my meal. @nokesidefoodie

As a teenager, my mother had friends that were straight off the bayou cajun. I loved the food they cooked and have never found anyone who compared to Gloria's meals; until now!! I am a big fan of Gianni's and my boyfriend, who is a picky eater even likes this restaurant!
That's a definite win! The server is very friendly, always smiling, and very informative when there are questions about the dishes on the menu. My only complaint is that the restaurant is a little on the warm side, but I realize the building is old and A/C could have been having issues recently.

I truly enjoyed the food my 89-year-old grandmother and mom are from Haiti and enjoyed it as well. The rice was cooked to perfection and the meats were seasoned very well! I’d highly recommend
