This place should not be allowed to sell food. I've never had a Chinese takeout plate that I could not even stand to eat, let alone not finish it: this food was so disgusting, disappointing and so below average of Chinese food. People please do not come here.

I work right next to these guys. The fried dumplings are so good I eat them like 5 times a week. They are the great saviors of my appetite and nurish the hunger of my coworkers. That alone deserves a 5 star. Not only that, but I can also stop in and grab a diet Coke and brighten my day for even just a few moments.

The seating area is warm without adequate air conditioning.
The staff is friendly.
They have an extensive menu. I have been about 4 times and so far everything I have ordered is not up to the quality of Chinese dishes I am used to.
I wish I could report the food was better, and I wish it was better as I would be eating there 2-3 times a month as I live close by the restaurant and it is convenient to Towers Mall.

Unfortunately I have gotten sick the last several times I have gone there. Something is definitely off. Had hoped it was just a coincidence , but clearly not. No more benefit of the doubt. Something isn’t fresh or it’s from not being clean…or not keeping foods at proper temps. I would not feel safe eating there again..

I got a terrible case of food poisoning from this restaurant last summer!!!! I ordered chicken with mixed vegetables and white rice. It was the only food I had eaten all day, and I became violently ill about 15 - 20 minutes after eating it. I was on all fours in the grass and had to call 911 for help. I was taken to the ER and diagnosed with acute and sudden onset of food poisoning. I will NEVER eat here again!!! I called the Health Dept and got nowhere. (I noticed that my original review from last year has been conveniently deleted.) This restaurant needs to be permanently shut down. Beware!!!

I hate to leave a bad review but I have to. Orderd the fried rice and lomein. First off this is not Chinese food. Just yellow rice and boiled chicken and shrimp. The lomein and fried rice has no flavor and the chicken is slimy. Do not recommend. They are also selling shampoo inside the store
Ordered chow sam din, never said on menu meat was breaded and fried. No flavor or sauce. Seemed reheated, not freshly cooked.

My take out order from the Great Wall at Towers, Roanoke was taken immediately by a smIling staff member and prepared quickly. The food was very hot and the Shrimp Lo Mein was tasty, with a fair amount of shrimp. The yellow fried rice was rather bland, and had very few vegetables. The egg roll was good and crunchy. The decor is plain and simple, with a few tables and do it yourself condiment area, along with a strange assortment of toothpaste and household goods for sale. The service was excellent and fast. The combo is a pretty good value for the money.
