You know how hibachi restaurants all taste similar and have the same dishes well every once in awhile you find one that is a step above or just does a really really good or better job at hibachi whether it be the cuts and grade of meats they use or fresher vegetables it’s just better than what you get unfortunately sometimes at other restaurants well this is one of the good ones, best I have had in Roanoke so far, just plain perfect Japanese Hibachi.

This was far and above the freshest and tastiest hibacibthat I have ever had. The servers were friendly and caring, and the hibachi was fresh the vegetables very fresh and delicious. The sushi was also very good! Highly recommend. The restaurant itself could be spiffed up (bring back the booths!). But for good food - definitely go here.

Hibachi Express in Roanoke on Orange Ave. is amazing! High quality ingredients, deliciously prepared. We split the Hibachi white meat chicken and filet mignon, and once again, it did not disappoint! This is the 2nd time my brother and I have eaten here, and sadly, we are not from Roanoke because I'd live at this place otherwise.
Friendly staff, and a very clean restaurant as well. If you like Hibachi and are in Roanoke, do yourself a favor and try this place!

The best Hibachi in Roanoke by far! The sweetheart who takes orders remembers what we get every time and has learned our names and everything! She is absolutely phenomenal and makes her customers feel very welcomed. We tend to get a rotation of sesame chicken, general tsos, hibachi chicken, or hibachi steak; all of which are amazing! The portions are always big and make for great leftovers. The rice is always cooked perfectly, and the lo mein is also really yummy! I loveeeee their eggrolls they are the best. It’s my family’s favorite takeout place and I highly recommend you check it out if you haven’t had it before.

Called to let them know that the 6 Yum-Yum sauces we got were watery and made our food taste horrible and ruined it as well. I also asked why I only got 4 pieces of onion, I had asked for extra onion and zucchini. The owner replied to me that I was the only one who complained, no one else had and that the onion and zucchini were precut. She could've cared less and you could hear it in her voice. Customers should come 1st and be trusted with a complaint. She's all about the money they make... we have been customers there a while and it's sucks that they are this way and don't care.

Very sweet service, quaint atmosphere and amazing food. They also warned us that the miso soup was hot, which was appreciated. The dipping sauce they gave us on the side was to die for!

The cashier was very angry when we asked her for 3 water cups and she forced us to buy 3 cups for nine dollars and I told her I wouldn’t pay nine dollars so then she lowered it to six dollars. INSANE
Love the steak hibachi and the eel/unagi sushi that they have here. Really nice family that work and own this location. The lady remembers my order no matter how long it's been since I've ordered. Her mind is a steel trap lol. Definitely recommend!

We got food to go and they told my gf it was all grilled chicken and gave her fried. They also put the chicken and sauce together after she requested not to. Then when we went back to get it fixed they charged me $4 more and put her original rice she took a bite out of back into the large pressure cooker with the other rice.

Food is delicious and reasonably priced but gave service one star because one of their teenage counter helpers blew his nose and didn't wash his hands! He went right back to serving customers and handling food containers! So disgusting! Almost asked for a refund! Not sure i will be going back as this is a serious health and sanitary issue!
