Was very impressed with this Restaurant. Was greeted with a big welcome and smiles. The Restaurant was very well decorated. The food and service were very good. Once the orders were taken, we didn't have to wait long for our meals. I found this restaurant on the internet searching for eateries close to our Conference site. I highly recommend that you try the restaurant if you are ever in this area. I will be sure and try it again when I return.
Best food and service anywhere. Every time I am in Salem I have to go to one of their two locations. They go the extra mile to serve you and every menu item is fantastic. Portions are huge so if you leave hungry it's your fault.
Good food good service. my wife and I liked it, we do want to go back again. They give you good portions, prices are not too bad considering everything is getting more expensive these days.
Waitress was very sweet but slow. We never got refills on drinks, I ended getting my own. We sent half of our food back for being way over cooked. It's been along time since I've ate @ this location. Not sure what happen but was not impressed this time around. Last note: im not blaming our waitress, girl was doing the best she could. Her co-workers should have helped out more and Kitchen really needs to step up their game. Food was terrible
My girlfriend and I went this afternoon. The restaurant was maybe 1/3 full, and there were at least three wait staff present. Our server greeted us and asked for our drink preference. She brought back the drinks and said she'd bring out fresh bread. Twenty minutes later, we received the bread. She took our orders, which were not complicated by any means: a taco salad and a steak and chicken tender platter. The food order was put in at about 2:15. The server may have checked in with us at least once after nearly 25 minutes to tell us the grease needed to be changed and that our food would be out shortly after. At 3:10 our food was brought out. My girlfriend's taco salad was completely cold. She was hungry, so she decided to make the best of it and eat anyway. Upon the third bite, she said she had bitten into something hard. It was a long, thin, unrecognizable item. She immediately stopped eating her meal. After ten minutes, the server came back and my girlfriend told her about the cold food and the unidentified item in the taco salad. The server claimed that the taco salad had just been prepared, so that "didn't make sense." She also said that the unidentified item was a fried onion string. The string was so hard, my girlfriend thought she had bitten into a bone or something similar. The server said she would have the manager remove the taco salad from the ticket. I asked for a to-go box for my food. About 10 minutes later, she brought out the ticket, sans the taco salad. Five minutes later she came to take the payment, without the to-go box. She came back and slammed the to-go container into the table. I paid for the meal and waited for a receipt. About five minutes after that, she returned to our table with a receipt for the payment that included the taco salad she claimed would be removed. I reported that error to the server and she went back to change it. Ultimately, it was a very dissatisfying experience. We will not return again.
Usually love their food, but the experience today was uncalled for. When we arrived we were told it would be a ten to fifteen minute wait. After waiting over 15 minutes there were piles of people and no one was getting seated despite there being a bunch of empty tables. When we asked about it we were told they couldn't even give us an estimate of how much longer it would be and the wait was because they didn't have clean silverware. When we asked if we could be seated and wait there instead of in the hallway where the crowd had gotten extremely large we were told no one could be seated until they had silverware. There was enough seating to seat at least a third of the people waiting piled together like sardines. We had a baby and a disabled man with us. The hostesses had terrible attitudes and were rude. We left and will not be returning.
2.5 hours, cold potato soup, burnt outside and dry pink inside of steaks, no juiciness, after almost 1.5 hours of waiting. Mac n cheese for kids was just elbows with some shredded cheese. Understaffed. Salad greens tasted like dirt. The list continues on. Lets not forget they have an ongoing roof leak in the back and have ceiling tiles hanging from ceiling, with a light hanging from one of then
We went here on the recommendation of a nice local couple. Our server was so nice and the service was fast. Everything was good. My son got boneless wings and it looked like a whole cooked chicken! We would definitely eat here again?
This was our first time here. Shrimp had gone bad. When I told the waitress, she shook her head at me. Sautéed mushrooms are straight out of the jar. Both steaks were well done, though I had ordered med rare. My husband got the 12 Oz, and I the 8 Oz. They were exactly the same. We never got refills. We were never checked on again until she brought the check. We will not be going back. If you want good steak and shrimp go to the 611 in Roanoke.
We met friends for lunch on New Year's Day. Although there were not many customers, it still took 45 minutes to get our order. My husband ordered an appetizer, which didn't arrive until after we finished eating. I got charged .50 for substitute broccoli, which was 4 little stalks. We had to ask for drink refills and when I got my second glass of water, it tasted like salt water. The waitress was not professional at all, and almost hit my friend in the face while refilling her drink. Our waitress made a rude comment about our orders being difficult because we asked about different foods for our diets. Bad experience, and the food wasn't even that good. We will not be going back.

Manager and wait staff were very good however the cooks were not very good. Steak was burnt and potatoes were not done. Salad was excellent
Great, friendly service and delicious food!
Pot roast was good but I wanted crab cakes which they were out of. The rolls were decent but not on my top 5 list. Our server was very nice and the restaurant was very clean.
We had to wait a while to get drinks when we got there as there was a shift change. No big deal. The time it took to get our food was good. I was actually surprised it didn't take longer. My husband's food was great, he had a steak and baked potato, mine not so much. It seemed like once our food was on the table and she made sure our food looked good we were avoided. I got the chicken quesadilla and the chicken was bad. She didn't make it back to our table for me to tell her it was bad until my husband was done eating. My husband didn't get a refill on his drink although he was told twice she was getting it. They did take the cost of my meal off the bill, which took 30 minutes to get the check. But had the waitress come back and checked on us I could have actually had a dinner.
I placed a to go order yesterday, a chicken tender basket...I was told 15 min. I stood at the reception desk for 15 more minutes because nobone was seating customers...there was a line of 6 people. Finally, the girl said to go orders are picked up in the bar. That would have been helpful to know in the first place...by a sign or maybe when placing an order?? WTF? So then I proceeded to the bar where I had to wait another 10 minutes, and the charge had been doubled from 8.99 to 15.50. When I asked about the discrepancy she stated I thought you wanted the dinnet meal...I asked what the difference was and she said the dinner had 8 strips and the basket had 4. She asked if I wanted to change it and I said no, I had to get out of there because I'm allergic to cigarette smoke. After suffering an asthma attack in my truck due to the cigarette smoke exposure, I headed home and to my surprise (dripping with sarcasm) there were only 4 chicken tenders...did she change it in the computer and keep the difference for herself?? This is by far the worst experience I've ever had.
