We were out-of-towners looking for local cuisine, and this restaurant is a hidden gem! The staff was very friendly and service was excellent. And the FOOOD ?? If we lived locally we would come back for it again and again!!!

My favorite Mexican joint! I've been to many in several states. Las Tapatias is AUTHENTIC. It's where all the local Mexicans go. Highly recommended

This is a hole-tne-wall authentic Mexican restaurant. A limited menu it is not your typical Mexican restaurant now found on every corner. They have more traditional dishes that include tongue and/or tripe.

Really good food especially the quesa-birria tacos. Would revisit this place again.

We arrived early so we were served very quickly. We ordered tortas and im glad we did. It was delicious. I love Mexican food, but i am not being biased when i say i enjoyed the a torta de Asada. The bread they use makes it unique and gives it a distinguished taste. Gracias a los dueños, nos recibieron muy bien. Mexican approved ? 100% authentic ?

This place is super close to our house so we decided to give it a shot, and wow! Some of the best authentic Mexican food you can find in Roanoke. Definitely recommend! We'll be making this place a regular stop.

Literally gave us Pace salsa & restaurant style Totistos tortilla chips. The street shrimp tacos were bland & the tortilla were hard. Never again.

The food was good, but the service was slow

Delicious Food and attentive service. The verde salsa is my favorite of the salsas, and they freshly grill the meat out front. Do not let the outside of the restaurant fool you. By far the best Mexican food and prices in the Salem/Roanoke area.

Very warm inside the building, tacos had no seasoning and were from store bought corn tortillas, they brought us chips from a bag and salsa from a store bought container. The rice was not authentic and tasted like they were Uncle Bens rice. Enchiladas were had dry chicken and maybe a spoon of thr red sauce was even given with what seemed like mozzarella cheese on it. I wqs surprised that the photos on yelp were from the same place. I def do not recommend, it was sadly one of the worst places i have eaten. Maybe it was just a bad Friday-but we were the only vehicle in the lot. I hope they so better and give others a better experience.

Service was excellent and prompt. We ordered the street tacos and they were excellent. Loved the salsa and sauce. Grest food with good prices. Could stand a little updates to the inside, but will definitely return!
