Sad to see this place falling on hard times as it used to be the anchor of the neighborhood restaurant strip. Had two Manhattans, one was made with vermouth, the other was just rye on fancy ice with a cherry. Everyone at the table had drinks that were a bit off. This in sharp contrast to previous experiences where you could get a delicious bespoke cocktail any day of the week. Tried to get the server but she was nowhere to be found and seemed to be having a tough time personally...
Not sure what has happened to local roots but it isn’t as good as it used to be. We hadn’t been for a while (having a kid will do that) so I was excited when my husband and I decided to have a date night there. We arrived at our appointed time of 5:30 and the place was near empty. Ordered drinks and asked for the mussels to start. We were told that they were out of the mussels …. Dinner service had just started so I’m not sure if they just forgot to mark it off the menu...
