I’ve been smoking BBQ for decades and have never found a brisket as good as mine. Until I tried Mama Jeans. Their brisket is actually better than mine. I mean, so much so that I haven’t opened my pit for brisket since trying theirs. I’ve been back several times, and every single time the brisket is juicy, perfectly smoked and just tender as a mother’s love! Now the chicken, well to get a better piece of chicken, you’d have to be a rooster! Oh my word, the chicken is amazing. Their sausage is tremendous and their sides are just amazing.
I’m not saying I eat here a lot but when I started eating at mama jeans I only weighed 185 pounds! I can tell you these 262 pounds of happy man highly recommends Mama Jeans! It’s Blues Man approved!

I had the ceasar chicken sandwich, mac and cheese, and chicken liver pate.
Easily the best chicken I've ever had. You can taste the flavor from the beef tallow.
The mac and cheese was very creamy. It lacked salt to me.
The chicken liver pate was YUMMY. The homemade pickles and red onion were chefs kiss.

Ordered the moist (fatty) brisket with mac and cheese and pulled pork with cole slaw. Even though we drove an hour before eating, everything was amazing, including the banana pudding we had for dessert! Definitely visiting again when we are in the area!

If you haven't been, then you are missing out on life. That is by far some of the best I have ever had. I got the brisket and ribs. The brisket was smoked perfectly and was juicy. The ribs were something new I haven't ever had, it was one of their specials. The ribs were fried in tallow and my goodness they were wonderful. Light crispiness on the outside and it kept all the juices on the inside. It was topped with one of their BBQ sauces,blue cheese crumbles, and chives. It was definitely a new spin on ribs that's amazing!! I believe it had one more thing on them as well. Regardless I will most definitely be returning and if you are in the mood for great food and BBQ then get by there. It is not a dine in experience but they do have picnic tables outside, that is the only reason I didn't give the atmosphere 5 stars. Also the ladies taking your order were so nice and helpful answering any questions. Lastly for all the people that were there, the food came out quickly. Thank you Mama Jeans!!

Food is always excellent whether you're getting the specials or the everyday items. My faves are the hot chicken, the turkey, and the pastrami but you can't go wrong with the meat. If you decide to do the hot hot chicken, know that it's very hot but also super flavorful.
Be aware that this is outside and expect a line. They've got canopies and fans to make the wait more comfortable. There are picnic tables to eat at, but expect to share or take your food to go, which works out because we usually have leftovers.
Unbelievably good brisket sandwich and perfect collard greens! All served up by friendly folks in a relaxing setting. Jighly recommend!

We knew when we pulled up and the line wrapped to the parking lot, the food had to be worth the wait. It did not disappoint! Perfect welcome to VA BbQ for our family. Pulled pork with slaw, mac n cheese, smoked potatoe salad (WTH! Amazeballs) and spicy garlic noodles. Keep rocking it! We’ll be back.

We were driving down the interstate Googled BBQ in Roanoke and bam there was the Airstream , and I knew that was the spot! Boom not only was it THE SPOT the food was OUTSTANDING. When we arrived they only had wings, pulled pork, and banana pudding left well got a dozen wings, pulled pork sandwich and the Banana Pudding. It is some of the best BBQ I have Ever Had . Let me tell you something… RUN to this location and make sure you try everything on the menu. Every sauce was better than the next and I will be back earlier so I can try the entire menu. Yes the menu… you guys are killing it just wanted to let you know you have a fan for life . Keep up the good work and good luck on that new building
