Best brisket I’ve had for sure! The bbq and mac & cheese were okay. Brunswick stew was more like a soup than actual stew. They were doing great business and very busy, so hard to get a table; but not mad about it. The only thing that was upsetting was the price, we paid almost $50 for just 2 sandwiches and 2 small sides - I kind of wonder it was a mistake and should have been closer to $40 after tax but not sure. 🤷♀️
These guys are super popular....and for good reason. Food was solid, pricing was fair, and service was good. There was a bit of line when we got there but that's how it goes with something that everyone wants a piece of. With that said, the line moved pretty good and the food didn't take long to get. We were able to score a couple seats at a bigger table and another couple joined the table within minutes. Brisket and pulled pork were both smoked perfect. Went with two...
Order at the counter then find a seat. They'll call you when it's ready, which doesn't take too long. Menu items change daily and are posted online and on the wall. When they sell out of something, they're out. So sometimes limited options, especially in the evening. Also, wish they had fountain drinks.
