Pupuseria Salvadorena Las Delicias

Heard good things but we ordered the chicken tacos, very dry chicken and no salt or flavor. The other dish was with beef and it was very tough with no salt. Bland rice and beans tasted like they had just come out of a can. The girl who took our order was so kind and cheerful and we loved the outdoor seating! Just wish the food had held up our expectations. So much potential here just needs some attention to flavor and correct preparation of meat. Maybe it was just a bad day but we probably will not be back.

Best food in Roanoke. I could eat the papusas every single day of the week. Cheap and absolutely stellar food! GOOD sized portions too. I often can’t finish my meal. Chicken and cheese Papusas and a melon drink are as good as it gets. 100/10!!!! ❤️

We came here at closing time after trying 3 different restaurants that were all closed. We were desperate for food after a long and difficult night because a show we were going to see got cancelled from storms after we waited outside for an hour and a half. Despite it being closing time, the staff still offered to let us eat inside. The power went out for a moment while they were cooking, yet they still made sure to finish making our food, which was wonderful. We are very grateful for the staff’s kindness.

This was my first time experiencing El Salvadorian food, and it will not be my last. This was quite good! It was reminiscent of a tamale but more flavorful. I ordered the Pollo Con Queso Papusas via Doordash. They were definitely made to order and were prepared pretty much as I had read about. For me, what really elevated the dish was the Cabbage slaw and tomato salsa (not really salsa). The sides added depth to the flavors. The delivery arrived hot and fresh so I can only imagine that the in store quality is even better. Definitely worth the money and will order again!

The BESTTTTT pupusas in Roanoke. Truly so flavorful and yummy. I have come here so many times already in a week lol! But they truly have the best pupusas. Must have. The coolest one is the Pupusa Loca! It’s like a giant pizza. Best pupizza ever. Las mejores pupusas en Virginia!

Food was absolutely amazing. priced great and the portions was big! between all of us we had the pork, shrimp and the crazy papusa's and thought they were all phenomenal. Staff was also very friendly. Highly recommend! We WILL be back.

The food was delicious, the service was poor. It took 30 minutes to get my order of chicken pupusa while others who came in after me were getting waited on and served first. While the food was good, I am not sure it's worth the wait time and lousy service. There was a table of people that was eating, so at the time, it definitely was not busy.

excellent food !! very nice people.

A meal of Chicken and Cheese Papusas and Banana Empanadas, both gluten free and tasting like home cooked food. Though I never had either before, I was reminded of corn roti and gulab jamun of Punjab. Would recommend.
