Better food and service than expected and always open o the public. This is not the average bland hospital cafeteria. It is set up like a food court with a few different shops. The hot Italian sub and club sandwich were both good. The Route 11 chips were cheaper than at the grocery store.Vegetarian options: Each station has at least 1 veg option and there are salads.Dietary restrictions: Lots of choices catering to patients in the surrounding medical center.Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible if you can park close enough

Was greatly surprised how awesome this place is... I had a steak quesadilla where they grilled cheese on the backside of the tortilla, great steak, and fresh vegetables. Super amazing. Service was world class. Just an amazing experience.

The employees were very friendly and the restaurant was busy but it definitely doesn't offer much visually. The decor is extremely outdated. The flooring, furniture and fixtures all need a major cleaning and update. The menu is extremely large. A menu of that size is always a red flag for me because how fresh can the food be if they need to have that much on hand? The dishes and cups were also heavily used and showed it. While the experience wasn't terrible, the food wasn't too bad nor was it remarkable so I don't think I will rush back anytime soon.

Five stars! If you're looking to support local business and have some great food, this is your place. Everyone in your party will find something they like from salads to coney dogs to breakfast. The food is excellent and portions are generous. We have been twice and the wait for our food was a little long each time. Know that in advance and have a lazy weekend breakfast (I assume better during the week though). Longer wait time and still 5 stars? Yes, bc the food is that good and the owner is amazing. She said that her goal is to make sure you leave full...trust me you will! Pro tips: get the fresh made today toast with your breakfast and don't pass up the complimentary rice pudding!

The staff is welcoming and they HUSTLE. Usually service is pretty quick, but we've had some longer waits on the weekend during peak hours. Outside seating is nice, with umbrellas over tables, and inside seating is classic midwest diner. If you are in the mood for breakfast/brunch, GET JIMMY'S BREAKFAST. You will not regret it.

Last Sunday 8/6/23 we stopped at the Riverview Cafe while taking the scenic way home to Muskegon. We were hoping for a "fancy" Sunday dinner. Obviously, we aren't from these parts and we hadn't looked at an online menu! If we were, we would know that this is an amazing breakfast, sandwich, coney dog, gyro and rice pudding restaurant. Admittedly, we were disappointed at first that we weren't going to get prime rib, steak or lobster. Instead we ordered coney dogs and a club sandwich. Perhaps our food was "good," but it wasn't. It was excellent! What made it exceptional, was the outstanding service that we received from our waitress and the kindness we received from the owner and her daughter. And the rice pudding we received to take home, was the "cherry" on top!" We can't wait to meander through Dexter again and stop at the Riverview Cafe!

Friendly establishment with a large menu. I can personally recommend the Greek salad with gyro meat. It was really good. The cranberry juice was better than most. Found it odd that the veggie wrap was grilled which was not mentioned on the menu. Service was above average.

We enjoyed our brunch on the patio. The corned beef skillet and mixed berry pancakes were a win. Also the staff is very friendly. Will definitely return.

Very pleasantly surprised. This Cafe is located inside the Carilion medical facility at 3 Riverside. I figured it would be gross...because, I reckoned it would be basic hospital food. I was wrong. I ordered a large coffee and a personal cheese pizza after my doctor appointment. The coffee was out of this world good, the pizza was only about 6 bucks and big enough for 2 people....It was delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Minus one star because the coffee station (actually, the whole set up) was a bit confusing...but, ended up being worth it. Large coffee and 7" cheese pizza was about 8 bucks. Definitely recommend.

Riverview is exactly what you would expect it to be. It is in an old building, some of the bench seats are a little worn and the walls have been painted over more than a few times. But, it is clean, the owners are sweet and support them community, the waitresses are attentive and friendly, and the food is good (try the veggie skillet).

Best place within miles & miles for great breakfasts, sandwiches & gyros. Salads? That Greek Salad is tops. Add some gyro meat and you're good to go.

Service is great. Friendly and checking in right time window. However, food was not good. Ordered a omelette and a french toast. Large amount of food was served, but the taste was bad so I couldn't finish the half of it.
