So everything about the place was pretty good, the food was good,staff was good, waitress is good, there was only one particular thing that definitely earked us, a side of toast is $2.79, that side of toast consists of one slice of bread cut in half. To me, that's walking the line (and not the cool way, like Johnny Cash..).

I’m VERY particular about the flavor of my biscuits and gravy, and theirs is pretty much the best in the city. Their eggs are always cooked perfectly. They have very good coffee. The atmosphere and quality of service is great. The staff is friendly. Very clean.

Best biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had — don’t tell my mom! (Hers are right up there, but Scrambled might just have them beat. Mom, I said might.) The biscuits were soft and buttery, and the gravy was creamy, well-seasoned, and perfectly comforting.
My husband ordered the steak and eggs and was beyond impressed. The steak was beautifully blackened, cooked perfectly, and incredibly tender — every bite was full of flavor and done just right.
Service was attentive and friendly, adding to the relaxed, welcoming vibe.
A warm, casual spot that knows how to do breakfast right — we left full, happy, and already planning to come back, if ever back in Roanoke.

The staffs answers to everything are, “the owners make the decisions talk to them” (yet no owner on site, so somebody needs to have the answers)
Market price for food is 2x what it is at places steps away while quality does not call for 2x the cost
I did not see a single staff member wash there hands the entire time I was in the store yet touched dirty items and surfaces.
The store does not accept tap.
They charge gratuity on Togo orders (but with rude service such as I received I understand why)
This truthfully was terrible, I recommend trying Earnie's across the street.

Wonderful vibes and attentive waitstaff. Love that they offer a lighter appetite menu!! Our waitress, Mandy, and her mom were so warm and welcoming. They make French toast exactly the way I like, classic and no frills. Wish them every success.
