Driving through Roanoke and this spot caught our eye, and it delivered.

The breakfast menu isn’t the standard diner lineup. There’s some creativity here. The biscuits are the headline: flaky, substantial, clearly made with care (and lard-the right way). The grits were creamy, well-seasoned, and exactly what you hope for in the South.

But the food isn’t the only reason to stop by. The staff treats you like you’ve been coming in for years.

If I lived in Roanoke, this would be a regular place.

Well what I'm used to is a chicken biscuit from biscuitville. I came here and found out that biscuits are made for King Kong. These biscuits are so big you can't drive with them. You can't hold one with one hand. There's two pieces of chicken on this biscuit. One I threw away and one I used. This place is a total waste of money. $10 for a biscuit that you can't even eat. It falls apart it's cumbersome. Tasted great but just way too much of it and the biscuit was way too big to even bite. I won't be back.

Didn’t get a chance to visit during our stay but dropped by just before leaving the town.
Tried their biscuits & homemade strawberry and blueberry jam. Just yum.

Shout out to their customer service. Very sweet and welcoming people.

The sausage gravy biscuit is really good. Prices have gone up, but still good value for what you get. Hard to get a seat at times. Need to have one person reserve a table while someone else stands in line to order.

The description does not do justice. Walk in here and it’s just magical. You should travel to get here. We came off the highway on the way to Statesboro and we could have done the random corporate venues yet we decided to get something local…God shined his light on us and we found Scratch.

Wow! Just check out the size of these pancakes. Give them a try you’ll be satisfied. However, when biscuits in the name your biscuit better be game and unfortunately, my biscuit was overcooked.

No complaints about the eggs, the bacon was a little thin, and the hash brown was average.

Go with the pancakes!

This place was referred to me by a friend while i was in town visiting. Not the cheapest meal bit was worth it and experience was great. Portions were small and perfect for me as i'm back into my fitness. Place is busy and everyone I asked said they love it.

I have traveled the country for work for over 30 years - and I swear this place has the best, most flavorful and tender fried (crispy) chicken biscuit anywhere. And I just get it plain!
