Six and Sky Rooftop Grille

Far exceeded any expectations we had! Kudos to the whole Six and Sky team. We appreciate you making our anniversary dinner an experience to remember! Our server Mark was top notch, the cocktails were delicious, and the food was amazing. Best ribeye and crabcake we've ever had!!! We look forward to returning.

We were highly impressed! I did not expect this to be as great as it was. The food was absolutely excellent. We tried many dishes and appetizers amongst our party of 12 or more. Every single thing down to the bread was incredible. We have been to a lot of restaurants and I can hands-down say this is the best high end restaurant in Roanoke for menu selection, execution of dishes to perfection, and scenery. Thank you for bringing this wonderful concept to Roanoke! I felt like we were out of town. I can’t wait to go back when it’s warmer. I was also impressed at the restaurant keeping it perfect temperature inside. I expected to be cold and uncomfortable in a dress. Whoever is making the food, pay them well, do not lose those people, they are master chef’s!!!

We visited on Monday night for my son’s Birthday. Wanted to sit outside as the inside was very noisy but could not. Appetizers were ok. I had a salad with salmon and it was full of bones. I ended up eating a side of potatoes. My son had a 100.00 steak. It was good but the sides were just OK. Expected more from the food for the price tag. Didn’t want to complain and disturb my son’s birthday. Our server was top notch…just not the food.

My husband took me here on Friday for my birthday it was outstanding. Friends of ours highly recommend it. They were right. Our appetizers were delicious the drinks were very enjoyable, our entires were amazing he had the red snapper, I had the tuna, our son had the lamb, and our daughter in law had the special all were absolutely perfectly cooked and so tasty. We even had beignets and strawberry tarts for dessert they were so yummy. The ambience is incredible we had a perfect experience which made my birthday so memorable. Thank you to all at Six and Sky. We highly recommend!

Just had a lovely dinner at this spot this evening and honestly I really enjoyed it. Had reservations and was seated quickly by a nice lady. Our actual server was also nice and said he would start us off with some water, giving us 3 choices which were tap, sparkling or bottled. We decided on bottled which was served with a glass of ice. For dinner, we had crab dip as an appetizer and the rib eye steaks with whipped potatoes. Crab dip was delicious but ran out of pita bread quickly and was told some more will be brought out. Our steaks were presented well and tasted really good but mine had a fair amount of fat on it but it was nothing I was complaining about. I like sauce with my steak so when I asked for some, I was told a few options(none of them actually steak sauces) but out of the options I was told, I chose garlic butter. It was good and complimented the steak and potatoes. After getting pretty full and asking for the check, we noticed we were charged for the water and extra for the pita bread for the crab dip and an extra $6 for the butter for my steak! All in all, we had a nice time and good experience but I do feel customers should be informed about any fees that would usually be free such as water or butter. Plan on returning though to try other meals on the menu.

We had reservations for 4. We arrived early and after a short wait they were able to seat us early. The rooftop area was littered with empty cocktail glasses. The food was just ok. My steak was ordered to be medium, but came out as medium rare. The service was not great! Our server was extremely slow and felt somewhat unorganized. She was nice. We had to repeatedly ask for what we needed. She raved on the fingerling potatoes which my friend ordered and then was served mashed potatoes. They did correct that. We just expected better service for the cost.

This place has some of the best rack of lamb I've had. Definitely top shelf for this area. Our waiter was superb as well. I recommend on all levels.

We went to six and sky for a cocktail to celebrate our anniversary! They were so lovely and greeted us with a champagne toast. Beautiful view!

This is the first restaurant that serves its portions that meets the price. This was worth every penny. Amazing food with great flavor, greats drinks and a gorgeous view. Recommend 10/10 the photos are unfortunately the appetizer and dessert. The dinner portion well… didn’t last long enough for a photo.

3.5 stars. Cocktails were great and service was quick and friendly. Got the ceviche and it was very underwhelming. Not enough acid, crap tomatoes and no flavor (it’s tomato season and there’s a farmers market 100ft away!!). Maybe other food is better but don’t waste your money on the ceviche!

Update: they apologized for the ceviche and sent me a $25 gift certificate to try then again. I live about 45mins away but will update review once I try some other things there.
