I absolutely love the Ox tail with rice and beans. Smiley has the best authentic Jamaican food around VA. Great food, wonderful customer service, always with a joyful smile. If you try it, you will become a regular customer. Five stars easy 😊

This is my 3rd time going to this establishment. The first time, he didn't have anymore cabbage it was 1 p.m. The second time, he did have cabbage however it didn't taste like cabbage. It had no flavor. Today, he didn't have any plates. He had to close up and go get plates. I waited! Once he made it back, he didn't have any plantains, which is a side that comes with your meal. He didn't offer any substitutions or discounts. He seems like a nice guy. You shouldn't tell your customers that you have been drinking all day and got a late start. It was after 3p.m. Three strikes you are out. I will not attempt to support this business again.
Update: The jerk chicken was only chicken backs no legs or thighs. Not enough meat. Curry goat was just okay. Cabbage was sweet.

Tried the jerk chicken, curry chicken and oxtail. All were amazing. This is the kind of home cooking that often gets overlooked when places try to just make super spicy jerk dishes. The rice cabbage and meats were done perfectly and spiced so you could enjoy the flavour without being overpowered by hot spices. Really enjoyed this place and have happily recommended to friends.
