I love Spikes its so small and has a great mix of people that come in that are all easy to get along with and is always a good time. Karaoke scene is cool too and you can always play pool without having to win a table from a stranger.. which is awesome.
Not much food options. The service there is a little slow when it starts getting late, but that's only because regulars come in to chat with the bartenders. The atmosphere is friendly, but don't stay too late... That's when the gremlins come out.
A smoky bar with great burgers and onion rings. You will leave smelling like a pack of spent Marlboros though.
It's like you're transported back to the late 70s/early 80s when you step in, complete with yellowish decor to compliment the cigarette smoke stains.
This is a beer bar, no liquor.
There a couple small 6 ft pool tables and plenty of local regulars to keep you entertained. Local color, ya know?
