Very good experience for my lady's birthday. One thing could have made it better. My dinner guests ordered the salmon and the swordfish special. They wanted to switch who got the mashed potatoes and who got the rice. That was voiced to the server, but the kitchen did not accommodate the request. They had to trade at the table which ruined the presentation. Small thing, but it would have been nice.
The overall experience was good, and I would eat there again. I ordered the Beef Stroganoff and asked for no mushrooms; however, the dish still had mushrooms. I'm not sure if the issue was on the server's part or the kitchen's. The dish came with filet mignon, but there was very little meat, and one of the larger pieces was grisly and fatty. Table 50 has long been one of our favorite Roanoke fine dining restaurants, and last night was no exception. We. were there with family to celebrate our anniversary and the welcome was warm and friendly, the food was wonderful and beautifully presented, and the service was attentive but not at all intrusive.
