Ike’s Kitchen closed after/during covid, which made myself and many others sad as Hibachi and maybe 1-2 other places were really all we had for this type of food. Thank you Teppan for filling in that gap and giving us a new, good option.

I love this place. The food is delicious with solid portions, and the price is reasonable. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere is pretty cool. The mural on the wall reminds me of anime, and it was cool to see some DBZ characters on display. The chicken and beef is my go-to. My wife loves the ramen.

Amazing experience! The service was friendly and quick. The atmosphere is cozy and charming, making it perfect to relax and enjoy a meal. I ordered the unadon, and it was absolutely delicious. The eel was cooked perfectly with just the right balance of flavors. Can't wait to come back and explore more of the menu!

I really wanted to like this place but the food needs a lot of improvement. The teriyaki chicken is not it. They put pepper on it and it overpowers the food and you can’t taste the teriyaki. And they don’t use chicken breasts they use other parts of the chicken which also makes it less than desirable. I’m willing to give them a second chance but they will have to fix the teriyaki chicken at least cut down on the pepper. I don’t know why you would use pepper on something like that. But also the sauce isn’t very thick either which if it was good wouldn’t matter but it’s not good. The spring rolls were ok, not great but ok. As far as service goes though it is amazing they seem to appreciate the business which is why I want to give them another try. Hopefully they will improve on the food. I know they are still new so I will give them that.
Among the top or even the best ramen / Asian soup in Roanoke. Everything about this modern fast casual restaurant is at a solid level (meals are tasty, service is fast, the kitchen and dining area are neat and clean). 4/5 stars because Teppan Express is not (yet) at the level of great ramen restaurants in larger cities but a great choice in Roanoke. Finished the ramen and will likely return! Give it a try!

Oh man I wanted to love the food as I’m a big Japenese food lover but I was disappointed. Hibachi lacked flavor big time and veggies needed to be more robust. It was just ‘ok’. Hard competition with Ichiban right down the road but I’ll give them another try such I know they are still new and update.

Ordered the Spicy Garlic Oil Ramen, girlfriend had the classic Tonkotsu, and both were absolutely delicious. I genuinely don't think I've had a ramen that came with so much meat before, as mine had plenty of Chashu. I'd highly recommend giving them a visit, prices were definitely fair for the amount of food they gave in that delicious bowl of ramen!
