We use to eat here quite often, but we ate tonight and the food was horrible over cooked and dry the service was good but it was like she got aggravated over everyone complaining we started talking to the people at the table next to us and they was going through the same thing. The I ambiance was very nice and welcoming.

Definitely agree with the other review "Better choices in the area". We had agreed years ago to not go to another Smokey Bones because of bad service, but decided to try it once again while visiting the Roanoke area. A mistake! After arriving and calling the curbside number and being told that "the person handling the order would bring it out", and then waiting an additional 20 minutes beyond the promised time in the car, I went inside to get the food. The person went around the corner and handed it to me, but when asked why it had been sitting, got a plethora of excuses, none of which made sense, including "people normally come in for their food" -- then what is the purpose of a curbside order? And to whom am I providing a tip? We have gotten curbside at at least 6 other restaurants in the area, and never experienced anything like this -- especially with near sub-par food which we actually had to heat up once we got back to the hotel -- 5 mins away. Not a good experience at all! Do better, be better, if your business model is to provide quality food and service and have repeat customers!

The management starting with Lucia ( GM ) is HORRIBLE , she's lazy and is just there to eat all day and watch her kitchen staff struggle along with her serves. Theresa is horrible and is assistant manger whom can't help with anything but take out. They leave there staff hanging and are lazy. RYAN, LUCY, TXO, EMILY, WAGNER, KENDRA AND GENEVA are the BEST STAFF THERE. this place has so much potential but the managers ruined the place!

If there was a option to put negative stars I would Ordered food from this location on the website around 6:30 pm and wasn't going to pay until I got to this location, the website told me it would be ready in 15 minutes so I pretty much just left straight after I ordered it, when I got there, I told them the name on the order and was told 15 more minutes on the food and that they were working on it, I checked with another lady once it was past the 15 minutes mark, and was told it was going to be another hour until they got my food ready, this has happened 3 times at this location with me and probably others too that were waiting in line behind me, not to mention they got their food first so I walked up to the counter and asked them to cancel the order and wasn't going to wait any longer, the manager offered me a drink to try and make me feel sorry for them that I should wait, I told them no I rather not eat cold food when I get home and have to microwave it, so I walked out and most of the waiting room to either pick up a order or to sit in, left right behind me, THIS LOCATION NEEDS A NEW MANAGEMENT TEAM AND POSSIBLY NOT HAVE ALL THE EMPLOYEES WORKING THERE UPFRONT DOING DRINKS, I will not be going to this location anymore

I wouldn't waste your time or money here. I had the brisket chili. The bowl was very hot, the chili was almost cold. They forgot to add the brisket part of the chili. It did have a bunch of not fully cooked kidney beans. I guess beans are cheaper than brisket. The salt content was the only spice I could taste. I suppose salt is cheaper than chili seasonings. The portion size was pathetic for $8.49 price.

It appeared they may have been short staffed. We had a reservation for 6:00 and were seated immediately. There were people waiting for tables and there were several empty tables. Service was slow and people were complaining. The sandwiches were satisfactory, but nothing great. When in Roanoke again we will find another place to eat. There are a lot of other good choices.

A friend of mine treated me to dinner yesterday at Smokey Bones. I previously had seen colorful flyers of the place where the food looked so juicy and appetizing that I wanted to try for myself to see if the real thing was at a par with all the fancy advertising. The entrance of the restaurant was very impressing with a triangular design roof and red hot sign of the place. Inside the place was clean with shinny hardwood floors and ceiling spotlights. Our waitress gave us a friendly greeting and took us to a booth to be seated. The ambience was relaxed and very laid back and comfortable. We ordered corn bread with special butter as appetizers. It was amazing how soft, and tasty they were. Then we both ordered the Signature BBQ Burger which contained inside pull pork and fried pickles among other things. My friend order it with baked beans and I ordered it with the house fries. I love trying out fries from different places and have discovered that they can reveal a lot about a restaurant as well as the bread served at a restaurant can. My burger arrived in a timely manner and it was a bit more well done than medium but it still was hot and juicy. The pulled pork inside was also very fresh, tender and juicy, and the fried pickles gave it a special flavor. The buns were also fresh and soft and the meat patty was nice and thick. All was going extremely well until I eat a few fries. They were not fresh, but lukewarm and dry; if if they were fried a while ago and let stand there in the kitchen for a while. I can't figure out why the cook served the fries like this. It totally spoiled my wonderful dinning experience. I ended up leaving half of the fries on the plate because they were dry and hard. I was almost going to give this place 5 Stars but this ruined it. I would advice the Manager of the place to correct this immediately which is so easy to do so. Also the Manager should engage with the customers because if he/she would have done so maybe would have been able to correct this on the spot and freed me of the bad experience I had to go through. For dessert we had the Banana pudding which was good but a bit overpriced for the size. If the Manager listens to my constructive criticism and takes action to implement my advice, I would not only recommend this place to everyone close by but would definitely come here to eat again! Many times more.

This is a polished and inviting spot tucked away next to an iconic mall close to the airport. The staff is amiable, animated and treats you like you're dropping by for a visit at home. The menu is expansive and varies with something for everyone. The group enjoyed the new street corn with a subtle blend of sweet, creamy and spicy. The ultimate BBQ bowl gives you a taste of the house with pork, Mac and cheese, baked beans with a slaw side does it all for me. Many thanks to Daphne who treated us like family and made great suggestions to make a meal and experience!

#1 First of the exterior is dirty and dated the bench outside is literally falling apart. As you enter the door there is a foul odor that permeates throughout the restaurant. #2 the restaurant interior needs a deep cleaning. The dining experience we have a party of 8 for a birthday we were seated a waitress approached and as for our drink order at the same time we ordered appetizers. We received the soft drinks and water about 20 minutes later 10 minutes after that the Cocktails had arrived the guest tasted them and basically had no alcohol in them. I could not find the server and took the two cocktails to the bar where the bar tender never would acknowledge me standing the after 15 minutes, I decided it was not worth it. From the time we sat down and ordered drink and appetizers we waited 50 minutes for French fries and pretzels. Then she returned to take our dinner orders what mine was not edible. The brisket was disgusting the potato was old only thing edible was the salad. Out of a party of 8 no one had a decent meal after a $238.00. Its not the money mind you its just sad when you expect an edible meal and to be honest Sir it was not. I wish you would take you family there for dinner you would be as disgusted as we were. I honestly do not see how you stay in business at that location. I was served raw chicken wings at this location previously.
