We have been here twice and the service and food are excellent! We enjoyed dinner and breakfast. This has become one our favorite restaurants. We really enjoyed the jazz music at the dinner service last night. We highly recommend this restaurant!
We chose to have our New Year’s lunch at The Pine Room because we have all lived in Roanoke and became friends when we started working together almost 30 years ago. What a great place to celebrate…The Hotel Roanoke, right!
We thought so, but this ended up being the worst restaurant experience I believe I have EVER had. As we all arrived at 1pm, we were told that they were short staffed, but our drink orders were taken. We completely understand the stress and frustration...read full review
My husband and I first visited The Hotel Roanoke last year for a "mini-moon" after our marriage. This year, we revisited for our 1st Wedding Anniversary.
To add to the festivities, we dine our first night at The Regency Room.
The food is spectacular. The music is amazing. The environment is breath taking. The service is out-of-this-world!
Would like to take a moment to thank the host for his hospitality, kindness and going out of his way to make each guest feel...read full review

The Pine Room at Hotel Roanoke offers an exceptional dining experience with friendly and attentive service. Servers consistently provide outstanding care, ensuring guests feel welcomed and well taken care of. The menu features delicious dishes, including the warm pimento cheese dip, Reuben sandwich with perfectly toasted bread, and generous portions of meat and sauerkraut. The food is fresh and beautifully presented, making it simply delicious. The falafel bowl is spectacular and one of the most flavorful dishes. Guests also enjoy the cauliflower appetizer and the new pumpkin harvest salad. Well-executed dishes like shrimp and grits, as well as the pork shank with sweet potato, collard greens, and apple compote, are highlights, though some portions may be served in small bowls that result in everything running together. The fruit tart is served generously, though it could be baked a bit longer. The restaurant offers a lovely atmosphere whether dining inside or outside on the patio or porch, where guests can enjoy views of the Roanoke star and the surrounding scenery of this beautiful old hotel. The bar area has seen improvements, with staff working to better attention to detail and drink balance, enhancing the overall experience.
