Bar needed more attention to detail. some mistakes as well as some unbalanced drinks. Server missed opportunities a few times for early table visits for drinks but service improved after the bar messed up.

Our lunch was an absolutely amazing experience. Love the Pine Room ... the food was excellent along with the atmosphere. A HUGE shoutout to Jaclyn who provided us friendly and exceptional service.

Well executed shrimp and grits. Pork shank with sweet potato, collard greens and apple compote were well prepared but served on too small a bowl, resulting in everything running together. Fruit tart could have been baked a touch longer, but a more than generous serving. Coffee was terrible and served with small plastic containers of coffee mate creamer.

Our particular seating was somewhat claustrophobic, small table against wall. We had a series of appetizers as small plate Kimchi tacos were great the rest was nothing special. Cocktails were very good.. Our server was very friendly but checked on us a bit much giving us the feeling that we were being rushed out even though there were plenty of open seats. Definitely could do better.

It was busy when we arrived & loud. Waitstaff seemed "frazzled" trying to serve tables. Manager kept coming by to check in on tables as there were some complaints from nearby diners. The restaurant some cleared out of the large parties & it was less noisy. Food & drinks delicious. Our service was just reservation, had to keep asking for water refills. We put on the reservation it was our anniversary but that was never acknowledged & nothing special done, treated just like any other diner. Overall, it was just an ok dining experience, I expected higher standards from The Roanoke hotel

Delicious food, fabulous service..was a bit chilly so the server brought me a cup of hot water to drink which was perfect. Thank you!

A wonderful place with great food and drinks. We highly recommend the cauliflower appetizer and the new pumpkin harvest salad. We always enjoy sitting on the patio too.

The host, Jessie, greeted me with genuine friendliness and enthusiasm. I was seated outside on the porch, which is lovely. My server was wonderful (I think her name was Penny). I had the margherita flatbread pizza and it was delicious. I was dining alone and very much enjoyed sitting on the porch enjoying my pizza and a glass of wine while reading. It was delightful.

Had dinner before attending a show at The Berglund Performing Arts Center. Food was delicious and our server excellent. Great casual atmosphere.

We dined at the Pine on a week day. The server was nice and got us a table outside, which was lovely. We ordered a bottle of wine and an appetizer to be followed by a main course. The appetizer arrived first but without plates or utensils.
Unfortunately the server was not trained how to open a bottle of wine, so the cork broke. We finally requested to have another bottle opened.
By the time we got the wine and wine glasses the appetizer was cold.
The main course arrived before we finished the appetizer and we had to send it back to hold until we were done with the appetizer.
The main dish (striped bass) was ok but not remarkable or what we expect from a restaurant so well rated.
We got a 10% discount of wine, but in general would not recommend the Pine if you want to have dinner served in a well run restaurant by competent staff.
Very disappointing.

The cocktails were a bit slow in arriving. Otherwise, our visit was every bit as nice as expected. A definite repeat

We had a great window table and we could see the Roanoke star from indoors. Open kitchen so you could see them preparing and cooking. Waitress was wonderful. Beautiful old hotel that we did explore and sat out front people watching. Limited lunch menu but very good

Quality hotel. Very nice. I didn't eat at the pine room just ate at the bar. Same food maybe a little more exclusive in the pine room. Great food nonetheless
