My husband and I made a reservation after Valentine’s Day to eat dinner here and made it a month in advance. This is an extremely elegant fine restaurant never requires a dress code of suit and tie or evening gown. This is definitely not a restaurant that you can wear blue jeans, boots, and a T-shirt to.Our dinner was $240 but that is to be expected for a fine dining restaurant inside of a Hilton Hotel.

Recently, five friends ages 50-yrs.-old to 80-yrs.-old, had a lovely Friday evening dinner here . For me this was the first meal there in quite a while. This was a festive evening, we took advantage of the Regency Room ambiance from a good wine list, wonderful food, and a musical trio playing for listening and dancing. Our entrees were outstanding: mussels from Canada, salmon, country ham, and beef. The crowning point of the evening was desert ‘Bananas Foster’ prepared at the table by our server, accompanied by a chatty description of this scrumptious dish’s preparation and origin. This meal and evening were a wonderful way to relax with friends.Vegetarian options: Soups, seafood, and specials. As a pescatarian, I found it difficult to make a selection because of the selection of mouth-watering selections.Parking: Plenty of parking. The Valet parking lends an easy and gracious way to begin and ending a gracious evening.Wheelchair accessibility: There safe and suitable ramps from valet entrance to main lobby and from lobby to Regency Room.

Classic dining experience in an elegant dining room! A combo was playing dinner music and a few couples were dancing. The food surpassed our expectations! We had great fish and seafood dishes, and many menu items are done with a Southern touch. Service was gracious and not rushed, which made for a lovely experience all around.

In town for a conference, It happens to be our 34th winning anniversary. So I personally reserve a table at the regency room two days prior. They looked in the system and said would I like a table by the window? I said that would be great and she even pointed out the table. When we arrived , we were led to a table in the middle of the room next to the dance floor and the overly loud band. I mentioned the table i was offered, he said there was no note put in the system and that there was nothing he could do at this point. I honestly was pretty irritated by that , but moved on with the evening to not let it ruin our anniversary dinner. My wife got the chef's table and I got crab bisque and Prime rib. The crab bisque was outrageous but the prime rib was tough and unflavorful. When I went to cut it, I said to my wife, I hope that's just a dull knife, it wasn't. Her dinner was a 5 course meal and Everything was pretty good to her except for the fillet which was very salty. We had only been to the regency room one other time while in town for a conference and really enjoyed it.Not sure we'll dine there again.

A diverse southern inspired menu beautifully presented with obvious preparation and execution by a French trained or inspired kitchen. Classic service by a knowledgeable staff added to the enjoyment of the meal as did the warm hospitality of the maître d' and front of house staff. The Regency Room would succeed in New York, D.C., or Charleston, but is a true gem tucked away in the Hotel Roanoke.

Elegant atmosphere, perfect for a special occasion. Service was impeccable from beginning to end. Delicious food with exquisite presentation. There was a live jazz band the evening we had dinner. Added to the ambiance without being overpowering.

Brunch and dinner in the Regency Room are truly a "must" for anyone visiting the Roanoke area. Each and every staff member, from the parking attendants, servers and host, set the precedent for what customer service should be today. Our Saturday morning brunch featured a made-to-order omelet station, fine pastries, assorted meats, smoked salmon and possibly the best sausage, gravy and biscuits we have ever eaten. We were grateful for the recommendations of our server, Casey, including some of his favorites - the homemade pecan sweet rolls. For dinner, we had a relaxing evening listening to the jazz ensemble preforming for the guests. Our meal included the She Crab Bisque, Shrimp and Scallop Chesapeake and Hotel Roanoke's Spoon Bread - all of which exceeded our expectations! Our server, Caleb, created an even more memorable evening by preparing Bananas Foster at our table side. Our experience at the Regency Room far exceeds the 5 star review permitted - you will not be disappointed!

If you need a lovely, peaceful, and elegant date night, this is a wonderful place to do it. In our case, my mother, mother in law and I "solved all the world's problems" over pre dinner drinks and appetizers in the 1882 bar. Then we moved over to close down The Regency Room with a wonderful dinner. i Including cocktails, wine, fresh bread, Monk fish, shrimp, and scallops. We finished the food portion of our "girls' night" with french pressed coffee and 3 desserts. The best part was bananas foster, made in front of us by our wonderful server Caleb (ask for Caleb, he's awesome!). We spent the night (must stay safe after hours at the bar) and came home the next morning. The hotel is beautiful and historic. We can't do this except on rare occasion. So worth it!! Will do again some day.

Stunning display of foods for Sunday brunch. Live piano music in background. Our waiter was exceptional as was his support group. The ladies checking folks in were very friendly and quick to get folks seated. Our 3rd visit since Christmas and we will continue to return. Best food experience in Roanoke.

The service, ambiance and music made up for the mediocre food. Peanut soup was delicious but the Caesar salad and prime rib were just ok. I still absolutely loved this gorgeous venue and the service was wonderful so I will absolutely be back. Please work on the menu. I would pay more for really superb food. Thanks again for a lovely evening.

Food was excellent with the exception of the spoon bread. It was custard like but rather like corn bread in consistency. May have been on warming plate too longer. I would suggest deeper baking dish

The Sunday brunch exceeded our expectations. They had prime rib, a full breakfast buffet, lunch buffet, oysters on the half shell, omelet cook to order station,& a dessert table. We will definitely be back!

It was a lovely experience celebrating my retirement. First time there and the service, ambience and food were spectacular. Love the fact that we never felt rushed so the table could be reused, so it truly felt like a “date night” experience! Very elegant!

We were here for my wife's birthday. We have been to the Regency for multiple times. The setting is wonderful. The food is excellent. The service is exceptional with OK a bonus of having live music that is not overwhelming and encourages dancing You're encouraged to stay as long as you like and in fact, we had our 630 reservation And stay too well past 9 o'clock because of the music dancing having after dinner drinks talking with other guests Highly recommended
