Tiny place, almost no choice but to sit outside. I can only hope they have an outdoor bar when its really busy. Food was a little slow but they were moderately busy when we got there. Think we waited about a half hour, a friend we were meeting showed up late and had theirs in about 10. Older woman with the short hair behind the bar with the heavy metal santa clause lookin guy, super nice folks. With 1 exception, staff looked and acted like they actually enjoyed being there. All in all decent food, decent beer and well definitely be back while theyre in season. A sure stop in for a beer on the way to the fishing loop whenever that opens back up.
Decent beer cool location. But food options are what you would find at a city baseball park commissary and priced like a sports stadium.
Meh. Cool location, but had limited menu due to private event earlier that day (okay?). Available food was very expensive for a frozen patty overcooked to being a hard puck, and undercooked frozen fries. $12 for about $2 worth of flavorless materials. We were both disappointed and left still hungry, nearly inedible. We had to pick up food on the way home directly after.
It also took forever (30+ minutes) and we were the only people who had ordered at the time. Service was slow and indifferent, felt like they were annoyed to have customers, 2+ hours before closing. Beer was not noteworthy. The whole experience felt like an afterthought and not like an actual business that was interested in paying customers.
I'd recommend going to Cookout for better comparable food and any of our dozens of breweries for a better experience and beer. I can see others also had similar experiences, so for the owner I'd take a hard look at the feedback and make some improvements. Two stars is being generous.
Re: the reply from the owner, my comments still stand. A charred hockey puck is what it is, regardless of what you claim the ingredients started as. Please see the multiple other reviews with many of the same sentiments I laid out above. How many times can you claim that it doesn't sound like how you normally do things before you make changes? Bottom line, I'm not interested in coming back to this location to spend money.
My boyfriend loved his wings and beer and I really enjoyed their veggie burger. Would recommend
Their event menu stinks. They have a long wait line to order burgers, burgers, burgers or dogs. They need to bring a food truck if they can't keep up. ?
Disappointed that an event doesn't have the full menu, lady said " kitchen would be too covered up" ordered hamburger and fries both were cold. Next we will eat before we come to explore park.
They were out of pimento cheese :(the wait took over 45 minutesthe fries, tater tots, and tenders were coldthe burgers and chicken sandwich were delicious, hot and, freshmy burger was missing the onions and bacon it was supposed to have on itthe chicken tender kids meal was not what we orderedhowever the fries and tater tots had tasty seasoningthe water was a solid 7 out of 10the building and outdoor seating area are aesthetic
The staff, environment, gas fire pits, Virgina Wine, Beer, food and live music! 10 out of 10 would recommend!!
