Picked up my order. Ordered chicken tender dinner with onion rings received 3 of them. Ordered large Mac & cheese container half filled compared to last time. So tired of being ripped off on carry out even tipped $4. Won't be back.

This review is for their employees- a very kind gentleman came out of the restaurant to help me with a giant UPS return and was so sweet and brought it all the way into UPS for me. If that’s the kind of service they give outside the restaurant I can only imagine inside! I’ll be stopping by to eat there soon!

This place is a hidden gem! Home cooked meals absolutely delicious and prices are so reasonable, I had the Wagu beef burger with Swiss and mushrooms and my hubby had brisket with mashed potatoes and green beans. Absolutely the best dinner we’ve ever had. We’re travelling back to Canada and found this place online, we’re very happy and will definitely make sure we return again. Thank you! And coconut pie is delicious!!

A true hidden gem when it comes to places to eat in Roanoke!!!!! I always get the Spicy One ( Wagyu Beef Burger) with a side of the sweet potato tots and its absolutely delicious!!!!! Also a great and varied menu overall and at a reasonable price , i highly recommend checking it out , if you do i know you'll love it too !!!!

Stopped in today for lunch with a friend. The food and service was excellent. Uncle D’s never disappoints. PS the onion rings are the best.

I decided to try Uncle D's after having a self-care pedicure. Some good ol' comfort food sounded like a great choice. I ordered their Chicken and flat dumplings with 2 sides. I chose the green beans and mashed potatoes with gravy. Everything was so hearty and savory! Uncle D's Chicken and Dumplings blows Cracker Barrels' out of the water! Generous portions for all items. I hope to see uncle D's grow so there would be a demand for weekend orders. In the meantime, I'll take what I can get and I'll definitely be back to try more menu options!!

Everything I’ve tried from here has been great! I am disappointed they took Sausage and Peppers off the menu, it was my favorite. Next best thing though is the Chicken Parmesan. I highly recommend this place!

We had Uncle D’s cater a function for 80 people. It was great! Everyone was very pleased with the food and presentation. I had people asking where it came from because they liked it so much. Dan, the owner, was great to work with…made sure we had plenty of everything. He arrived promptly and set everything up and stayed long enough to make sure everything was to our liking. Even the desserts were great. We highly recommend the restaurant, take out, and catering.

When I first heard about Uncle D's, I was in an office and they were bragging about it. I cater a lot of meals for offices and I thought, man I really need to try this place out. Fast forward 2 1/2 years later, I am still using them for catering. I also eat there personally. Over that time, I have got to know Dan and his work ethic. I can't tell you how great of a job Dan does. He bends over backwards for his customers, the food is always delicious, and the offices I host are always grateful and comment how good it is. I have done everything from hamburgers, catfish, salads, lasagna, meatloaf to chicken and every side he offers. It never disappoints! My only regret is not putting this review on here earlier! Thanks Dan!
