Amazing fresh food and good prices! The high reviews did not disappoint. The outside seating is right next to the road so it’s a bit noisy but the food more than makes up for it. Great vegetarian options and a clean bathroom as well!

It’s hard to express the amount of joy I get from this restaurant. Vietsub has the most amazing food, I really can’t even shout out one item because it’s all so amazing. Everything is made with fresh, quality ingredients, and their baguettes are crispy yet soft on the inside. Easily the best restaurant in Roanoke, if not all of SWVA. The only downside is that they’re not open on weekends, which significantly decreases my Vietsub consumption, but I love their work/life balance.
Suggested order but anything is going to good: Traditional Bahn mi, fresh shrimp spring rolls, Vietnamese ice coffee.

Viet Sub has the best Bahn Mi I've ever had. I literally crave it, and luckily their prices are great, so I can afford to get one frequently! They are always packed for lunch- a great sign- but always greet you with a friendly smile. I love pho, but I've never gotten it from Viet Sub, because the sandwiches are so good!

The subs come cold and would be better toasted. The egg roll was not very hot nor fresh. The Thai tea was pretty lack luster. But the service was nice and quick so I gave them a 4. The food really is subpar. People must come for the pho.

Dining here feels like going to your grandparents’ house where there’s abundance of warmth, kindness and delicious homemade food. Everything that I’ve tried was fresh and reasonably priced, the portions were also generous. Definitely check out the sesame balls they are chewy, crunchy, slightly sweet, seriously addicting. The space is compact, humble but clean and quaintly decorated. Thank you Viet Sub! ❤️
