Sadly, this wonderful restaurant is closing at the end of July 2023. My first visit made me want to return to try other dishes! I enjoyed the beef bibimbap, with that tasty runny egg on top. I'm not into spicy dishes, so didn't add the sauce, and glad I didn't because it was very spicy when I sampled one drop! The stone bowl, being extremely hot, continued to sizzle throughout the meal, and made the rice at the bottom a little crunchy which was great! The beef was good and the vegetables, especially the bean sprouts, were flavorful. The service was excellent, and the little side sample dishes were interesting, some spicy, some not. My dining friend ordered the sizzling pork bolgogi and deemed it great! Some of the dishes are a little pricy, but when the dish is that good, it's worth the expence.Parking: Parking spots were available all through Lamplighter Mall.

I'm sad this place is closing because the food is delicious and authentic. The bulgogi was quite good, sides yummy (nicely done kimchi) , and customer service excellent. A gem that will be missed in Roanoke.

The aroma walking into the door set a tone for the experience. The food was amazing, and the waitress gave great recommendations.

me and my partner have been coming to this place for years and we love it. I always get the chuncheon dakkgalbi and it is one of my favorite dishes, you can't get it anywhere else around here. The staff is friendly and warm and patient. We're also big fans of the shumai and kimchi pancakes, as well as the kimchi and fish cakes that are brought out with every meal. I look forward to many more visits to Wonju, my partner and I have had two anniversary dinners here and many more lunches!

I love this restaurant. It’s truly somewhere I crave constantly. It’s well worth the price in my opinion to be able to get authentic Korean food. I’m excited to go back soon.

Excellent food and excellent service. We was hesitant to stop in Roanoke because every other episode of X-Files takes place in Roanoke but I’m glad we did. And you should, too! Go here!

Service was great. The food was incredible. The only downside was it was a bit pricey but the quality made up for that, and the price of the soju was astronomical 14.95 for a 4.99 bottle is a bit much.

Food was delicious and hot! Best Korean food I've had, better than in Blacksburg. Staff was friendly and very efficient. Reasonable prices for quantity and quality of food.Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options

I am quite honestly surprised at a 4.2 rating for this place. Being from the NY/NJ area we get plenty of solid Asian food (and Korean near the H Mart) and this would be a welcome addition to my town. The seafood pancake was perfect and the sizzling bowl was excellent. Nothing but good things to say about this place.

Food was fantastic! And so much of it! Had the beef bologi and it did not disappoint. Service was top notch since we had never ate there and had questions about the menu items. Definitely will be going back!

Great food! The waitress was extremely nice. Was a bit of a wait at first because of being understaffed but once we put in our order, the food was out faster than expected. You could say it was pricey but then again seafood always is and we had the seafood hotpot. Can't wait to go back for some more hot and fresh food.

If you are looking for a traditional (what you find in Korea) Korean dinner, this is it. Atmosphere, quality of food, service. We went recently and hadn't been for several years. It was clearly understaffed but the service was top notch and the bulgolgi hot pot, dolsot bibimbap, and kimchi pancakes were beautiful. My only complaint is that they didn't have japchae (though the hot pot comes with it) or kimbap. But that's due to not having enough help and to be honest, everything else is so good that it's hard to be too bothered.Recommend you get there early though.

Really pricey here. There should be a Korean pancake sauce come with when you order a Korean pancake, but instead they want me to use a soy sauce? We’re here for some Korean food not some Korean like but not Korean food.
