Went out of our way on our trip home to try ZeeZee's since my son is vegan and I'm gluten free and fast food is hard. Visited on a Saturday at 1:30 pm. The place was quiet. First thing, there were no Gluten Free buns. Well, that did me in. Then my son asked about a substitution and that wasn't possible. Then after we spent time figuring out what we were going to have we were informed that the credit card machine was not working. We had to empty our wallets of cash to pay. Then it took over 20 minutes for our meal to be prepared. Then when I told them that it would have to be take-out at this point, I got attitude from the cook. Then she didn't have a spoon to give me to eat my lentils that I waited 25 minutes for. When I expressed my disbelief, she said, "it's not my problem!" I asked if she would ask one of her neighbor restaurants for a spoon for me and she reluctantly did. Go elsewhere. We should have!

Wanting to support restaurants with vegan options was what brought us here. The bread on my grilled veggie sandwich was good tasting. It was sliced through allowing some of the contents to fall out as I lifted the sandwich. The heat of the veggies melted the vegan mayo which joined the juices and oils from the grill in a stream dripping from the sandwich, creating a bath in the plastic basket the food came in.

So delicious non vegans love the foods & desserts. I am partial to their seitan dishes. It has the texture of meat yet made from plants and wonderfully seasoned.

The Cajun Chicken sandwich was so yummy and they packaged it so I could put it together at the airport 5hrs later for my dinner... Even 5 hours later it is tasting so good!

The food was really good, but there wasn't much of it. The quantity felt very meager for the price we payed. The stir fry also didn't really have any good sauces. The food was very tasty, but not very filling.

I love ZeeZees! I have a very severe peanut and tree nut allergy (and I'm vegan) and the staff was so amazing! Ashley and her wife were amazing and made me feel so welcome. GET ZEE ZEES TO NJ PLEASE!!!

So happy I found this place! Excellent menu, great prices, good portions, and excellent customer service. I also love the fact that on the counter to the side are free vegan guides for multiple topics including kid ones too for free! Eating lunch here everyday while in town!

Great to have a vegan option while visiting Roanoke, VA. Location was a bit difficult to find - it is inside a larger building (food court style). Food was delicious, but we did have to wait 30 minutes, thus the four star rating. Would love it if they had two people running the shop to increase speed of creation! Still, it is all made to order and was worth the wait!
Always fun to find a vegan restaurant and ZeeZee's has an interesting menu. We each had the kale and mushroom sub and they were delicious. Since we are just passing through Roanoke we sadly won't have a chance to try one of ZeeZee's other subs. The portobello mushroom sub peaked our interest as did several others. For those of you who live around Roanoke - give ZeeZee's a try!
