Off the beaten path and worth every mile of the drive. We have been to visit Mary and David several times now and the wine, the view nor the conversation disappoints. This winery reminded me of the earlier days of Virginia wine. A small operation where the owners are the ones attending to everything and they’re happy to talk with you about their passion. It was a beautiful autumn day when I went and the Grüner Veltliner was a perfect wine for that type of day and is a great value. The view of Jump mountain is very nice, especially as the leaves are changing color. I’d definitely recommend a visit.
I’m a few months late getting to this review, but my wife and I enjoyed a bottle of JMV’s 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon tonight, and it was just the reminder I needed to write this!The gist of it: Unassuming. Unpretentious. Unbelievably good red wine!
