We have made the 53 minute drive from Louisa to Ruckersville twice now just to eat here. We actually drive past two other BBQ spots because the food at Wolf's Fixins is so much better.
The food:
Unbelievably good fried shrimp... at a BBQ restaurant!
Smoked then fried wings that are smokey, juicy and tender.
Pulled pork that is so perfect it doesn't need sauce at all (although they do have some fantastic sauces)
Ribs that bite through like a tender steak without...
Great pulled pork platter, meat was tender and juicy. I ate the entire platter and never reached for any sauce. Onion rings are fantastic, no stringy onions here. They melt in your mouth. These guys have it figured out, I just wish they were not 3 hrs from my house.
I have to say this place was a great find, I’m from the UK so I know polite service when I see it, I must say I was thoroughly impressed with the staff, the waitress was so kind.
This is a single bbq place, meaning it’s not a chain so it must be family run, they are very friendly towards tourist so definitely hit it up if you are in the area visiting Shannandoah.
