I love going to Chip & Jo’s!! It feels like you’re taking a step back in time (in a great way)! You seat yourself when a table opens up—you better hurry because they fill up quick lol The food is delicious, the staff is so kind and attentive and the prices are unbeatable for such a good deal!! I’m always pleased when I go!

Always wanted to eat here, so my friend, who lives in Salem, suggested it and we went Monday 9/22. They were crowded and we had to wait a bit to park. The food was delicious and plentiful--she had chopped steak, baked potato and a giant side salad and I had a mushroom swiss burger--real swiss and mushrooms, no less--and tater tots!! We will be back, I'll bet!!

First time there…very nice staff…hubby ordered the tenderloin with 2 eggs scrambled along with apples and a biscuit….the serving size was very nice for the price and enough to bring home for a second meal…he only wished it had come with white gravy…I had the tuna salad sandwich…unfortunately it tasted like the tubs of tuna salad you get from the grocery store…way to much pickle and mayo for my liking..it came with chips which where the single serving size of Ruffles….we will go back again and try something else…the pancakes others around us ordered were enormous and smelled delicious. Picture attached of those! Would have given it 5 stars if the tuna salad had been homemade.

First time in Salem and wanted to find a breakfast place close to my office. Gave Chip and Jo’s a shot. Always look for local flavor. Im a simple guy on breakfast; eggs, bacon, and an English muffin. However, the service was awesome. Dawn has been there for 22 years and she brightened the day immediately, especially when she started singing with the 70’s music playing. Nothing like a fantastic start to the day. Definitely be back to enjoy Chip and Jo’s!

First time stopping in to grab morning coffee, and I was greeted with a sweet southern hospitality in a nice family-friendly restaurant! Please stop by and check them out!
Love love love the fish sandwich! Every time I take my first bite I still say hm mm this mtf good but i will say yall getting smaller now with them. But keep the fresh taste great seasoning going. And..... I'll never buy another sandwich doubled bc the fish is smaller in size. I'll just go to Cafe express where the meat be meating every time BUT yall still got some good fish sandwiches

My favorite little secret spot in Salem. A diner full of local regulars. My usual order is the hot dog with crinkle cut fries. Perfectly cooked crinkle cuts are elusive but I am never disappointed at Chip & Jo's. Also a perfect place for Saturday morning breakfast. The staff is always friendly and efficient but sometimes you may have to wait a minute because they are always full of happy locals. That's a good sign! The parking lot feels a little bit like a game of Tetris when you're trying to fit in there, but do not let that deter you... this place has something for everyone on their menu, and it's all delicious.

What a great little place to eat! I've only had their breakfast but I'd be willing to bet that everything they fix is great! Even though the place looks small on the outside they have no problem accommodating a lot of people. Fast friendly service!
