First off, I would like to apologize because I told my friend I didn’t understand the short hours. Now that I have experienced Gina’s I understand that you can’t cook food that good all day long or every day. that being said it was well worth it. I’ll probably be eating three times a week

Just, wow..in the best way possible... The worst part about coming to this wonderful establishment, will be trying to decide what you want to eat. I found myself ogling other folks' plates, as they were all so appealing as they came out of the kitchen. First off, I can't say enough about the people..just friendly as can be. Attentive...genuinely good people ❤️. I went with the fried catfish, and couldn't have been more pleased. The breading was perfect..crispy, flavorful, not greasy at all. The sides are equally loaded with flavor.. I went with the collards (and they are done right ?), mashed potatoes and gravy, and the mac and cheese..and sweet cornbread to boot (not overly sweet, and so moist). The ribs were/are equally delectable.. Solid southern comfort food, period. 10/10... spread the word, tell your friends..this place is a gem. I'm kicking myself for not having tried it earlier...had heard nothing but good things...and the reviews don't lie..can't say enough good things about these folks.. Thank yall so much, and can't wait to get back to try the rest of the menu. Oh, solid banana pudding, and next time it'll be the cobbler.

This was our first visit. It was a great atmosphere, so nice and relaxing. Everyone helped seat people, take care of tables, and good home cooked dinner.
Stopped for lunch on a Saturday. The service was amazing! Everyone was helpful and accommodating. Gina waited on us herself. She's a lovely lady! The burgers were delicious! The atmosphere is super casual but very comfortable. My only complaint is that I couldn't finish my.burger because it was so big!

So I happened across Gina’s as they were closing. Greeted by the owner, Ms Peggy she advised that they had just put in the last dine in order but would be happy to accommodate a take out order to which I was appreciative.The order (Whiting, {Best whiting I’ve had in the Roanoke area} Mac and Cheese and Collard Greens. Dinner was freshly prepared not scrapings to put the plate together which was exceptional. The whiting was wrapped separately so as not to lose the awesome crispiness from the awesomely seasoned cornmeal batter.For Dessert I had Cheesecake and chocolate eclair which were delicious as well.I’ll definitely be back.While I waited I enjoyed the music that was playing, and also some diners in the back were up doing a little two-step. This was a great experience!Our ladies' group had our holiday get-together here. First of all the house is a beautiful, older home. It was decorated beautifully to begin with, and the added Christmas touches were lovely.The food was phenomenal - my chicken and waffles were the best I've ever had. Everyone loved the food. And the staff were great. They went above and beyond - so incredibly helpful and got us anything we needed.It is definitely worth stopping in if you haven't already. We will definitely visit again.
