Unfortunately the attitude of the staff ruined Lydia's for me.

Went there to pick up a doordash, there was two employees at the counter. One was on the phone and one was at the computer. The one at the computer looked up, smiled at me and said hello. So I smiled back and said “Hello, I’m here” and before I could finish the female employee with a shaved head who was on the phone stuck her finger up, gave me a dirty look and shushed me. Though it was rude and unprofessional, I stood quietly waiting. Once she got off the phone she didn’t look at me or speak to me, she grabbed one of the two orders on the to go counter and tossed it onto the counter in front of me and said “have a good day”. Me being a DoorDash employee this is very sketchy to me because I have no clue if this is the correct order. I go to check the receipt that is supposed to be taped to the bag and there isn’t one. So I ask if the order is for the person I am picking up for (I gave them the name) and got an abrupt and rude yes. So I ask for the receipt because I am to deliver it with the order, she had not even printed it out so I had to wait for that. Then after I took the picture she demanded to have the receipt back. I told her I was supposed to take it with the order and she simply replied “you got a picture right?” In a very rude manor so I repeated myself and told her I needed it to go with the order. I had multiple orders in my car, all from restaurants that use the same brand-less white bags as this restaurant uses. And she simply repeated herself again “you got a picture right?” While holding out her hand. So I gave her the receipt and informed her it’s supposed to go with the order. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. I assume it’s because she thought I was interrupting her phone call but I would have had to be speaking to her in order to do that. I was speaking to her co-worker. This woman with a shaved head could really benefit from some re-training in customer service skills and could probably benefit from some emotional intelligence training. If you can’t block out conversations while taking an order, you can’t perform your job duties. That shouldn’t be taken out on a customer or delivery driver.

Not a fan Dropped in with 25 out of town college students (tour bus) manager had an attitude, very hateful to bus driver. Me, the driver, lives local, Salem, & will never stop there again & will highly suggest finding another restaurant that is grateful for a driver stopping there. I will never eat there again & will suggest all local persons to avoid the hate attitude of their manager !

WHAT A JOKE!!!! THEY DO NOT GIVE A CARE ABOUT HAVING OR MUCH LESS KEEPING CUSTOMERS!!!! THEY HAD 3 TABLES OF CUSTOMERS AND TOOK 10 MINUTES TO ACKNOWLEDGE US (PARTY OF 2). ONLY TO TELL US A 10 MIN WAIT WHEN PLACE IS EMPTY THEN PROCEED TO TELL THE PARTY BEGINS US OVER A 20 MINUTE WAIT. NEEDLESS TO SAY EVERYONE WALKED OUT AND WENT WHERE WE FELT ACTUALLY WANTED THERE BY THE RESTAURANT!!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!

I eat here often! The facility looks nice & is always clean. I'm always seated quickly. Service is the best. Food selection is excellent for an Italian restaurant! I strongly recommend this restaurant!

First time visiting this place horrible experience. My son ordered the buffalo chicken pizza which looked like soupy soggy mess, almost inedible. My wife ordered the spaghetti and meatballs she did enjoy that . I had a grilled chicken sandwich which was just ok . Most importantly the service was incredibly horrible. The food arrived in a decent time but our waitress disappeared and never returned to refill our drinks or anything for that matter. I had to get up and ask the front desk people where our waitress was they looked at me like a deer in the headlights. I will not return.

Absolutely fantastic food! And great service. Both of us loved the meal and service. The lobster ravioli was one of the best I've had. Worth the trip.

I will never go back to this place. The staff was incompetent and the food was awful. Their sauce tasted like it came out of a Ragu/Prego jar. NO seasoning at all. Breadsticks were no good. Hard as a rock! If you're expecting REAL Italian food, do not go here! $65 lesson learned. I'll never go back and I'll be sure to let everyone I know not to waste their time or money!

Lydia’s was an incredible experience for me and my friends. We were told a bit of a wait when we came in but it wasn’t even half of that estimated time before they found somewhere and made room for us. It was the first day of serving for our waitress, Taylor, but she was absolutely incredible. I used to wait tables and my first day I was an absolute mess. She has all the confidence and personality to be an incredible server. The food was great, service even better, and it was such a cute little restaurant. We didn’t wait long at all for our food despite being incredibly busy. Parking was a little tight, but we made it work. We couldn’t recommend this place enough!

The Alfredo was amazing base price is $17, added meat is $3-4. It also comes with homemade breadsticks and salad. My son enjoyed his spaghetti and devoured his meatball. We also got a cheese cake for $5.50. I like the prices for the food quality. I forgot to take pictures before we ate! Parking is not the best, but they said if the parking lot is full we can park in the bank behind them (the signs say otherwise. We did we were fine but be aware).
