The food was excellent. Fresh squeezed OJ. Spicy bloody mary. Spiked coffee. Potatoes are well cooked and well seasoned. Service is extremely slow, understaffed, and my only complaint. If you're not in a hurry, great breakfast spot.

Had a great lunch 09/10/24! Very good service. Mighty fine Cesar Salad & a shared Smash Burger with the Wif! We’ve been before & we’ll return again! Recommend y’all give it a try!

Started off badly, the floors were so dirty I could hear my shoes sticking to them and the wait staff was unenthusiastic. Chairs are very uncomfortable. Food was not good at all. Portion for a side of fries was laughably small for $4. My chicken and waffles were bland, my waffle was slightly undercooked, and my chicken was tough and flavorless. My children's scrambled eggs came out in a literal puddle of what looked to be margarine as did my husband's omelette. Nothing about this place was good.

My husband and I feel so torn when it comes to this place. The food is excellent but the service isn't so great. The wait - whether waiting for a table or waiting for the food itself - is always ridiculous. There hasn't been a single time that we've gone and not waited an insanely long time. We're not sure if they're understaffed or need better training of their staff. We watched one time once we finally got sat: there seemed to be plenty of staff in the restaurant and the line of folks waiting for a table was going out the door - there was an empty table that just needed to be cleaned so that more people could be seated and it was untouched for over 20 minutes. My husband and I both have worked many years in the restaurant industry and that was mind-blowing to us both. The food is truly delicious but we haven't been back in months due to the wait/service. Hope to see it improve.

A nice little restaurant in downtown Salem. The place was very clean and chic, and the presentation of everything was up to date. Food came out fairly quickly and then it was in just right portions and was tasty. Definitely recommend for anyone wanting to get a bite of American food.
Parking: It's downtown Salem so on the street parking is limited and might have to find a side street to park on.

Ordered a double mushroom omelette with Swiss cheese got a shrunken scrambled egg, which was horrible. Left it on my plate. She didn’t even care. Coffee was good though. When asked for a manager, she told me she was a manager. I asked the other waitress. She said she wasn’t a manager. Oh my we had to go to some other place to eat too bad a waste of $30. I also reached out to you. Nobody ever called me. Nobody ever contact me nothing nothing was made right
A gem of a place! Excellent specialty coffees (the basic coffee is kinda meh), breakfast sandwiches, and pimento cheese! Portions are ample and I often have leftovers. Great prices too!
I think they are currently a little shorthanded in the kitchen (though it's been a few weeks since I was there so that may be remedied by now) so that might slow them down a bit, but be patient and I don't think you will be disappointed! Hope this place lasts for the long haul!

I had the chicken and waffles, and their malted waffle with bacon in it was delicious. Easily one of the best waffles I've ever had. We also got the biscuit and gravy platter, and the gravy was well seasoned and the portion was generous.
