By far the absolute best black pepper chicken that I've ever tasted. You could put a bowl of this on top of my head and my tongue would beat my brains out trying to get to it. The people were nice as well, oh, and prompt!

Based on other reviews we went out of our way to try it, happy to support small town businesses. It was disappointing. The won tons in the soup had zero flavor. The Kung pan also had no flavor. Wish I could say something nicer. Counter service was great.

Ordered chicken chow mein and beef chow mein… got home and opened our boxes to this.. called back bc this is the newest version of chow mein I’ve ever seen without any noodles. The lady on the phone assured us that’s what we ordered. So there went $ down the drain bc the “chicken chow mein” was in a slimy sauce and definitely not what we ordered. They either need updated menu pics, easier ordering, or better communication.

Sure, the place has a dated atmosphere, and the tables and chairs are way too small, but the fact is the food is absolutely stellar. Everything was cooked fresh, tasted incredible, and my mother who was visiting from Germany even loved it. I had a shrimp lo mein, my mother had a shrimp dish, and my husband had the general tsao's (which he is super picky about - wants it more spicy, less sweet. Most places make it too sweet, and he hates that so 5 stars from him alone just for that), and we had the dumplings as an appetizer. The dumplings were incredibly plump, and steamed to perfection. This place may not look it, but don't sleep on it. This is Saltville's hidden gem Chinese-American restaurant. Give these folks your money, and help em renovate the place a bit. 😄 Your food was amazing! Keep it up!

I don't know why there are any bad reviews. This place is delicious! We were extremely happy with what we got (to-go). We ordered: Pork with Mushrooms and Chicken with Chinese Vegetables as well as spring rolls. Everything was flavorful and very well seasoned.
I can tell you 100% that they're a wonderful place to eat from. I was almost deterred from bad reviews but those reviews are lies. Anyways, they're great!
*Fun fact: They give out a neat calendar/menu as a gift! ***Not sure if the will run out***

****Thank you for the amazing food, New China! We get frequent deliveries to the Post Office so you will see my husband often!!

Amazing food.. the woman working the counter seemed stressed out because she had to take orders and cook... I understand why she is stressed..i loved all my food but felt guilty because she had to cook it all by herself..,:(

Online menu is priced totally different than the actual price. Way over priced for the quality. Not very good at all. My food was dried out. This place has gone way down hill in the past few years. Used to love it.

I don’t like to leave bad reviews, but we’d been told this place was so good and it did not meet our expectations in the least. The place was empty and staff seemed unhappy we were there, and our food was awful.

Shrimp fried rice only have plain yellow rice and shrimp. Would love to have more flavor and vegetables. I think they modified the recipes for local taste palettes.
