“My husband took his late mother out to lunch one day. He remembered how fantastic the slaw dogs were. (This was about 30 years ago.) He’s still trying to find/make slaw dogs as great-tasting as Buck’s Drive-In. So far, no luck. Guess we have to go visit this place whenever we’re in the area.”

“Looking at the place, you wouldn't think anyone ever goes there, and maybe they don't for eat-in. There's lots of space for eat-in, but while we got there about 12:30 on a weekday, not one other person joined us. A lot of the space is used for storage, maybe simply because it's available. I understand they do a lot of business for takeout though.

I got a lunch special, and they gave me a heaping plate of food for $7.50, fresh and very good. I got chicken with cashew nuts, which was sauced fried chicken (not the same crunchy chicken like sweet and sour), diced carrots, diced celery, and fresh (not sauced) cashews, and with a large heap of pork (diced small) fried rice. They gave us a cup of sauce packets, with a lot of options.

They don't have fountain drinks, with bottles and cans instead. This includes water - if you're planning to dine in and get water to save money, it doesn't cost much more to just get a soft drink. Or a can Yoohoo, which is what I got - it's the same price as the water.”

I walked in and the place was empty which I was starting to be nervous about my choice. They may want to change that cover photo for the cheese pizza. All the reviews look to be over couple years so I ignored any negative ones. Ordered Pep. Pizza and Calzone Deluxe and it was VERY good! Will order again maybe dine in next time and try another items or two.”

“Excellent quality and selection for a College dining facility. They really do offer something for every preference. Staff is very friendly. On nice weather days, outdoor seating is available. It's across the drive from the newly restored duck pond on the E&H campus.”

“Stopped for a quick breakfast and the drive through line was long but we got served quickly. We didn't ask for first responder discount but my fiance has a debit card with the NC Association of Rescue and EMS on it (we are both first responders) and the cashier gave us a discount after seeing the card.”

“I usually don't post reviews, but I had to for this place! Stopped in late the other night and was glad to see they still take trucker orders through the mobile app after 10. Just walk up to the window and they’ll get you taken care of. Had a pretty good-sized order, and a worker Zack went out of his way to make sure everything was right. The blonde manager was nice too, seemed like the crew liked working with each other. Great service all around. I’ll definitely be stopping back next time I’m rolling through Virginia!! 🤘”

“The service is slow. I was sitting in the drive thru and was asked to hold on for a minute, while waiting over 3 minutes another car pulled up to the other lane and placed his order. I'm still sitting there waiting to place an order. , I finally said hello to see if there was anyone there to take my order I was asked to go ahead and place my order. . I asked why I had been sitting there for so long waiting and no one was taking my order, her response was well we have two people taking orders. SHE had a no care attitude! This McDonald's has gone way down hill. There is never a 90 second time in Drive thru, no one is never friendly, most of the time the orders are wrong.”

“I ordered a breakfast bagel deal through the app ($3) 9:45am on a Thursday. I only go to McDonald’s for the breakfast sandwiches. Ok. The breakfast bagel was fine. Seeing the bad reviews about how long it takes to prepare food I waited in my truck, not an issue. But I will give it a -1 star;

-1 star: I said thanks and both the man and the woman just looked at me. I know it’s probably a dumb reason to give a -1 star but it just doesn’t feel human when I catch them talking to each other smiling but then they stare at me with a blank face when I say “thanks” . If you’re reading this for some reason you know the world has only gotten darker and more evil over time. I just wish the human element is still there. Not even using profanity right now in expressing myself, just honest. I want to see more humanity in people”
