This place turned my day around. Food was top-notch, and it's just a great place to be.
The food was okay. I've had better chile rellenos but the soft taco is all right.
The food here was pretty good! We got the fajitas with homemade corn tortillas. The restaurant was pretty hot though, if they had AC it wasn't on.
It used to be my go to place for Horchata on the week days because my fave place only sells it on the weekends. Order over the phone, went there to get my food and two cups of Horchata like I normally do my food was way higher than normal(they took my order down wrong, made into a meal) but I was in a rush to say anything. I don't know if she gave me the wrong kind of Horchata(maybe chocolate)or what but it wasn't the same as what I've been ordering over the years I hate that I had to throw my two cups away that and my money. Coming to find out they are under new management. The food was really good tho I'll just have to wait for weekends again now to get my Horchata.
Unfortunately, this place has such bad service that we had to get up and leave. We waited 10 mins for the waitress to get our order and an hour later we still didn't have our food.
Wow, some of the best chips i have ever had a a restaurant or just best ever.. the not hard but the crunch and crumble is amazing!! The fresh quac is great you don't get a lot but sooo delightful!!!!
Food has great flavor, staff very friendly, strong drinks, avg prices
We flew into the airport and stumbled across this gem as we drove to our hotel! Food was wonderful. The cheese sauce on my entree was fantastic. HUGE portions. I couldn't even eat half of my meal!
Will eat here again if i am ever in Richmond!

Very bad experience about the food I went to dinner, the food was old, I ordered a super hard stuffed chile, the cheese I opened it to see why it was so difficult to cut it, the cheese was dark in color and old, hard, the sauce had a very bad taste, everything was reheated.
I was traveling from afar hungry and I found this. advice they should have fresher food
Extremely salty food. And the strawberry margaritas we ordered tasted more like strawberry punch. I doubt if there was one drop of liquor in those margaritas.

I am beyond thrilled to share my experience with this amazing Mexican restaurant! About a year ago, this spot was under different management, and let me tell you, I had vowed never to return after a terrible encounter with a rude server. But now—what a transformation! Under new management, this place has completely turned around, and I couldn’t be more excited to tell you all about it.
The moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by three friendly and beautiful Latin ladies who waste no time getting you seated and ready to enjoy your meal. Their service is prompt, warm, and attentive, and the entire atmosphere is cozy and family-oriented. You truly feel at home here!
Now, let's talk about the food! While some of it might have been slightly over-seasoned, everything was delicious, and the real star of the show? The chimichanga cheesecake. Let me just say—this dessert is pure magic! It’s rich, creamy, and perfect for sharing (though I couldn’t resist eating the whole thing myself!). Another person at my table even ordered it after tasting mine. It's that good.
I originally came here after being let down by another Mexican restaurant (EL Napal, I'm looking at you), where management just wouldn’t listen to customer feedback. But this place? They listen, they care, and they’re eager to make you happy. When I asked for a special taco adjustment, they made it happen without hesitation and didn’t charge me extra for it! You don’t find that level of service everywhere.
Here’s the kicker—they’ve only been open for four months, and they’re still operating under the old restaurant name, El Torito, which doesn’t reflect the incredible changes they’ve made. This restaurant is worlds apart from the previous one, and I truly believe they deserve a fresh start with a new name and recognition. The staff is full of energy, the food is delicious, and the vibes are perfect.
I’m telling you, if you’re looking for the best Mexican restaurant in the area, THIS is the place to be. I’ll be a lifelong customer, and I’m going to do everything I can to support this gem. Do yourself a favor and visit—you won’t be disappointed!

Phenomenal all around! It was the best dinner I've had in a long time. We showed up right before closing time, and they still allowed us to enjoy the delicious food.
