My husband ordered a ribeye steak with smashed potatoes and I had crab and corn chowder. All of it was so delicious! I ordered blackened catfish with smashed potatoes, all of it was amazing. We came earlier so I could have the cheesecake, creme brulee. It was to die for.”

“Couldn’t tell you how many years we have been going to roses. But we go as a group because we camp down at Rhodes Creek and have always enjoyed the people, Melissa is one of the best waitresses. We keep her on her toes. Thanks for being such a people person.”

“I recently ordered from [Chans Garden] and had the chicken and teriyaki sticks with white rice on the side. Overall, the experience was delightful! The flavors were spot-on, and the dish was cooked to perfection.

However, I have to mention that the egg roll was a bit of a letdown—it didn’t quite resemble the traditional flavor I was expecting.

“We had a great experience! Big shout out to Cynthia & Davonte!We are a family of 6 and needed to stop to grab a bite to eat after being on the road. It was about 9pm when we all walked in restaurant, and they greeted us with smiling faces and we felt very welcome! The restaurant was very clean (as well as the bathrooms). After we started ordering for our family, 6 more people came in-Cynthia & Davonte didn’t miss a beat and provided friendly, quick, and professional service without making anyone feel like they were an inconvenience (which is unusual now a days). After we sat down to eat, we needed a few things and they didn’t hesitate to assist us, even though they had to put gloves back on.Thank you for a great dinner after a long day! We will definitely stop through again at some point!”

Parking: free street parking, plus a parking lot down the block if no street parking is available (rare)

Dining area: NO dine-in, service is takeout only. I think this probably started during Covid but I imagine they’ve kept it that way because it seems so much simpler to just do takeout. It seems like a husband/wife couple owns and runs the place, I would do take-out only too if I was profitable.

Bathrooms: No obvious public restroom

Food: I’ve ordered several things from here over the past year and it’s all been tasty, fresh, hot and good quality. Today I got veggie lo mein and egg drop soup. I love the veg lo mein because it’s full of fresh veggies. The egg drop soup was made fresh when I picked it up. Both items were great today. I’ve also had spring rolls, egg rolls, and king pao chicken here, all were great. Portions are generous. Also, if you like it spicy, ask for some of their chili oil. It’s ? ? ?

Service: The food is always ready really fast. Some reviewers have said the lady who runs the front of the restaurant is rude, I get the feeling it’s just a cultural/language difference. She speaks bluntly but is always polite (please/thank you/have a nice day). I think she manages things super well.

Pricing: This can be so subjective, but I feel like the food is a great value for the cost. For my soup and noodles it was just $12~ today.

Vegetarian options: Egg drop soup and veggie lo mein are great!”

“I just want to take a moment to acknowledge and commend the manager and 7 crew members working on Sunday afternoon, December 3rd, 2023. The manager was working right alongside the crew, who all appeared to be young people, male and female of various ethnicities. The entire team was friendly and prompt with incredible service. They were all pitching in, working well together, doing what was necessary, with smiles on their faces! Keep in mind this was Sunday afternoon, around 1-2 pm, and the restaurant was packed and the drive thru was hopping! They all did a great job! I was impressed with the work ethic of these young people, working hard and fast, yet friendly, on a weekend afternoon. But equally impressive was the fact that the manager was working right there with them, directing them and truly leading them, all with kindness and natural patience and grace that clearly comes from practice. This was such a pleasant and refreshing experience, especially close to the holidays when folks are stressed more than usual. Well done to all of you! And Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁”
