Red Point Taphouse is a restaurant in downtown Smithfield known for its outstanding food and drinks, and a personal, family-like atmosphere. The menu features delicious options such as brick-oven pizza, lobster rolls, and shrimp and grits. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making it a great place for great food, conversation, and relaxation. The restaurant is owned and operated by a terrific group of people, and is highly recommended for meeting friends, dining out, or a quick stop in for a snack and brew. This place uses fresh ground beef for their burgers and makes their own buns without tons of preservatives. They also use thick cut real bacon and fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion, with delicious house cut fries. The fried cheese is amazing. The daily catch (Wahoo) and grits was excellent with the Amarillo IPA! The spicy Bloody Mary was the best ever.
